We stayed with our two teenage daughters. The cabin was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I was super impressed with how well stocked it was and loaded with extras to make it comfortable and cozy. Our daughters really enjoyed the basement room. We would LOVE to stay here again if we are ever make it back to Alaska. It was perfect!

The Chalet looks like it might be small but it’s so roomy inside! We stayed as a family of 6 with plenty of room to spread out. Our youngest often get relegated to the least desirable sleeping locations when traveling, but were pleasantly surprised with the lower level. They had a spacious area complete with comfy beds, their own TV, and bathroom! The upper level beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms were stocked and had everything we needed. Laundry was appreciated and the hot tub was a fun bonus. Really cant say enough about our stay… including good communication, hosts graciously allowing us to unexpectedly extend our stay a day, and everything else we needed. Would recommend to anyone, especially a family of 6!

This cottage was perfect, if had everything for our family of 4. So close to town but yet private and the hot tub was just what we needed for relaxing each day. Thank you!

We stayed in 5 different homes during our trip to Alaska and this one was our favorite. Very clean with plenty of room for everyone. Secluded enough for privacy but only a couple of minutes from town. Wish we would've stayed longer.

The property was clean and very comfortable. The beds were perfect. The host was a great communicator and very responsive. It is perfectly located to explore the surrounding area and feels like coming home after our outdoor adventures.

We felt very comfortable in this cabin for our stay. The layout was great, the rooms very comfortable, and all the needed amenities were provided. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and night while it was snowing. Thank you for helping to make this an amazing get away for the week.

I stayed here with 4 of my friends on a skiing trip. It's very close to the resort and a cozy cabin. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Great location and reasonable price. Extremely clean and organised. Every amenity you could think of. My wife was plotting how we could convince the owners to sell us the house! Perfect stay!

As advertised! We loved this “cozy” cottage. Easy access to skiing. Loved the hot tub. Plenty of room for all of us! Definitely a return property for us.

What a great getaway! This chalet was absolutely perfect for our family’s needs. Two-minute drive to everything we wanted to do in Girdwood, including skiing. Great layout with all needed ameneties. It’s the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in, and the owners were super quick at responding to questions. Excellent communication and clear expectations. Very easy. I would tell everyone to book it, but I don’t want you all to book it on the days I want it. 😝

Debbi our host was the best! My husband and son made it down on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful stay! Originally we were supposed to go down Friday including myself but my mom had surgery and I ended up staying in town and Debbi was so understanding even reimbursed part of our stay.
I can’t wait to go now but looks like dates are already booking!

The cabin was perfect! We loved the holiday decorations and the outdoor lighting. The cabin was clean, cozy, and organized. My classmates and I made dinner, exchanged gifts, and finished off the night in the hottub. Would love to rent this place in the future!

I loved this little yet big cabin. The use of space, decor and overall feeling of this property was impressive! My favorite part was the sun room! The owner(s) paid so much attention to detail from the decor, little extras (like throw blankets in the sun room) and lighting throughout the cabin.

We loved this cabin. Really enjoyed the sunroom and hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Probably the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed at.

Very cute and comfortable cabin. The only negative was the upstairs (main) TV wouldn’t stay connected to streaming services, only an issue for our toddler.

The Sunshine Chalet was perfect for our small family and friends. We live in small Alaska communities two hours' distance from each other. What a treat to meet in Girdwood and have the perfect cabin to gather, make meals, and catch up on life...when not out on the slopes! The Sunshine Chalet had everything we needed or wanted! Watch out; we will be back!

Nice little place on the edge of Girdwood. Close enough to walk if we wanted. Space was nice, basement tv room was great for our teenagers to stay up all night while we slept peacefully with a floor between us.

10/10! This cabin far exceeded our expectations! The owners literally thought of everything! Lots of extra little comforts, quality, and comfortable bedding, bed warmer, towel warmers, you name it, it was there! I really can’t say enough good things about our experience. If you’re considering staying in the Girdwood area, you absolutely should stay here! Close to all the best restaurants and the resort!
