Tout est parfait mais un peu loin du centre

De kamer, het zwembad, parkeren op de binnenplaats, het ontbijt en het vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel. Prima restaurants in het nabijgelegen historische centrum van Radovljica en op een paar kilometer afstand van het veel te drukke Bled.

We appreciated the breakfast, and we appreciated the fact that we were accepted to stay with a 3-year-old boy. (The 3-year-old boy was accepted with the condition that he behaves like a 12-year-old, a fact for which we took full responsibility right from the arrival). The first time it was pointed out that he made noise, we left the hotel and came back only when he was tired enough to sleep through. I had hoped that having our boy with us and also agreeing with the host on it should not have been a reason to have our moves watched during our stay at the hotel. This, unfortunately, had happened.

It seems like everything was arranged not to be able to use the facilities at the hotel and made us feel unwelcome as guests. Despite the agreement that we take full responsibility for our boy, we felt all the time being watched and controlled for being there. Just a small list of unpleasant practical facts we still felt: There is no facility outside at the swimming to let guests change clothes or go to the toilet. To go to the toilet, one would need to go to the room or to the hotel, which is, of course, unpleasant to do with wet clothes. The owner stands at its post telling you not to wet the floors in the hotel if you enter to pee. The swimming pool's opening hours are just close enough to the check-out hour or to the dinner hour so that no one can use the pool at its max. There is no fridge in the room, and no any other food nor cold drinks are allowed in the facilities of the hotel (there is a sign in CAPITAL LETTERS for that at the entrance for that). No one can have fresh, cold drinks during the night if needed. The garbage bins outside are taped off and sealed so no one can use them. Guests get proactively warned not to disturb the others, but there is a dog of the owner that starts barking at strange hours in the night and in the morning when going outside of the house. Our stay there felt strange, like one is in a military camp, because we were watched every time. In summary, there are people and signs everywhere in CAPITAL LETTERS and 4x '!!!!!' telling you what NOT to do and what is PROHIBITED. The host and the hotel should make more effort to make guests feel welcome and tell them more about what is possible to do and let them make use of the facilities of the hotel. later edit: Tip 1: It seems it is difficult for the host to understand that if an agreement is made for an exceptional stay with a 3-year-old, there is no reason to still keep on coming back on that and controlling.

La suite est superbe avec de beaux espaces y compris pour la salle de bain; elle dispose également d'un balcon. La literie est très confortable. La douche est grande, accessible. Pas de bruits de couloir, les portes sont capitonnées en cuir. La piscine est sympathique quoiqu'elle ferme trop tôt (19h); assez grande pour nager un peu avec des transats disposés tout autour. Un bar est disponible. Le logement est situé dans une entrée de lotissement à proximité des commerces et restaurants. Parking gratuit dans la cour de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel tant par les produits servis que le service lui-même.

A savoir: proximité de l'autoroute et d'un aérodrome donc potentiellement une gêne pour certains

Coffee at breakfast could be better for those who like espresso or a different style. There is no option to make coffee in the room and no teaspoons provided.

Have stayed before and always made to feel welcome by the family that run the hotel. Nice quiet location, not too far from the town, great selection for breakfast.
