Over the past weeks my family and I have had one of the best holidays together. Our time in Italy has been fantastic and made even better by where we have spent most of our time, "Villa Bernocco". The house and all amenities is a home away from home. The house offers the freedom to relax, take a breath of fresh mountain air and also the environment to have quality family time. We hope to return again next year and would highly recommend this house.

I have to say this was one of the most relaxing holidays we've had.The Villa is very beautiful, located in a calm area. Recently restored with so much care and attention to detail - a labor of love for Allegra. The pool and the garden are breathtaking beautiful and you can relax perfectly. The owner Mrs Allegra is extremely helpful; she also gave us some really useful advice and ideas on places to visit and tips for excellent restaurants in the area of Forte Dei Marmi, Pisa, Lucca, Pietrasanta and Camaiore. The house offers also a huge collection of CD´s and the best DVD´s for example; The Pink Panther, Death on the nile, Breakfast at Tiffany´s. We cannot recommend this house enough. Two reviews from two sisters: Number 1 - We booked villa Barnocco for 9 days to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends and family. There were no reviews of this property available at the time of booking so we had to make our decision based on other factors. We’ve contacted the owner Allegra Donn and barraged her with questions and concerns. Every email and phone call was answered and all our requests accommodated without delays. Allegra is super accommodating, kind and knowledgeable. She was a pleasure to deal with! Now, about the villa. It is a beautifully renovated typical Tuscan home with all modern conveniences. It is lovingly and elegantly decorated with period furniture, fully equipped kitchen complete with every imaginable utensil, serving dishes and cookware. There are amazing collection of books everywhere… and a huge selection of DVDs. All five bedrooms have individual AC units without which we wouldn’t have survived the heat. The beds were comfortable and linens were nice and clean. The pool was a big plus to cool off from our day trips to Lucca, Forte dei Marmi, Florence, etc. The umbrellas, lounge chairs and covers, including comfortable pillows were all brand new and super cozy. There is a state of the art grill (Big Green Egg) purchased for us because we asked and charcoal provided. The pool was being cleaned every night and lounge chairs and umbrellas placed for us every morning by the gardener. Allegra helped us to arrange for a chef to prepare celebratory dinner one of the evenings and it was amazing! We enjoyed cooking our own meals and having breakfasts every morning in the big dining room. The location of the house was very convenient for the planned day trips, shopping and the seashore. We rented a sailboat from Viareggio which is only 20 min away and had a great time basking in the sun and watching dolphins playing around. Great stay at Villa Bernocco! We would come back in a heartbeat and recommend it to all looking for a private villa in a serene setting. Number 2 - Absolutely gorgeous property, new pool and impeccably redone old villa. Allegra has thought of every detail and provided us (a group of 9) with all the comforts of home. Antique furnishings in combination with brand new bathroom appliances/air conditioners in every room, made for a very comfortable stay. I would gladly recommend this property and hope to return here.
