Location
We arrived at this place mid-July, during a heatwave of 40°.
Unfortunately, we saw there is no air-conditioning in the apartment but only a fan, which wasn't enough for these weather conditions. We were looking forward to staying there, but the heat indoors was unbearable and we had to leave after the first night. In Crete, especially during the summer, air-conditioning is a crucial amenity in rental places.
On top of that, there was a problem with the water supply. Despite running the water for a considerable time, it refused to cool down for a refreshing shower.
Overall, our experience there was unpleasant. We couldn't sleep or have a shower and we made the decision to cut our stay short.

the location is truly spectacular
the lack of air con made it very difficult to sleep at night because of both mosquitos and the heat, there is a ceiling fan but I think a table fan that you can move would make a big difference

Very special location and complex if you like peace and being away from crowds. Unspoiled place. Still, village center very close, also Agoius Nikolaos 10 min drive by car.
Two things - dealing with mosquitos was difficult despite tablets etc. Mosquito nets would work I think and I belive they would not intervene with house policies of being an unspoiled place. I also missed night lamp beside the bad for reading.

Breakfast was their own eggs, thick bacon well cooked, filter coffee, orange juice. The location is superb, the only building on the island, probably the quietest place on the Cretan coast.

Our stay at Elounda Island Villas was wonderful on every level. We felt incredibly well taken care of by the hosts, the location is an oasis and close to the most beautiful secluded beaches, and the town of Elounda is just a 10 minute walk away. After taking a quick dip in the ocean in the morning you can look forward to a delicious breakfast at the lovely cafe and in the evening the sunset is enjoyable from the balcony. Also, Kanali, one of the best restaurants in Elounda, is right around the corner for dinner. Everything is decorated very tastefully in the traditional Greek style with a modern touch and you can tell that the host has an artistic eye. All in all, a great place to embrace nature and wind down.

Beautiful calm location with exceptional views. Best breakfast in all of Crete. Comfortable functional apartment. Lovely hosts. Cute cats.
