1. The air conditioner didn’t work. The first night receptionist told me it’s not cold enough to use A.C. It was 27th December, the lowest temperature of the day is lower than 4 degrees. The other day the technical man came to fix it, the machine could be turned on, but still no hot air came out. The third day when checked out, I complained this again to the receptionist, we spent a long time in the room to talk about it, the technical man finally fixed it, the A.C. started to have air flow out, but still not very strong. The main problem is that the air conditioner is way too old, it couldn’t work properly. But no one have any explanation about it. 2. The machine in the bathroom was spreading out very disgusting smell, no explanation nor solution from the hotel side. Originally the machine in the bathroom is aimed to ventilate and warm up the space while taking the shower. However, because of the disgusting smell, you can’t use it at any time, also, the smell diffused to the bedroom, have the keep the balcony door open to keep the air fresh. According to the previous point, the A.C. couldn’t work, so there was no heater in the room and had to keep door open to spread out disgusting smell. Thank you for your excellent service, to let me have such a bad experience during my stay in Peniscola. And spent such much time arguing with your receptionist about the problems. Even when I checked out, the receptionist had no apologies and said that they have no problem about the services. Besides, one of the sauna room (steam room) didn’t work, one of the fix part of the Jacuzzi fell off. In general the conditions of the machines were not very good.

Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Food was also excellent.

Beautiful room and view. Fabulous facilities and wonderful staff.

Breakfast content was very good but they need to think about layout as one coffee machine and hot milk leaves people crowding round ( especially less patient people!)

Perfect location with excellent view. We got the room with the balcony in front of the sea with direct views for the castle, highly recommend it. Breakfast was okay. The pool has a good size with a bar on the side. They serve a buffet lunch at the restaurant priced at €16, reasonable quality. They have a deal with the private underground parking right in front so you pay around €12 per day (50% off compared to regular price).

Bed was really uncomfortable, so as pillows, paper-thin. We wish there was also some more sheets/blankets available.

Fantastic small hotel ,we had full board and all 3 buffets were excellent with the chefs cooking some to order spoilt for choice and a good selection of wines , nice outside bar too . Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you , hotel is spotlessly clean and the room cleaned every day . We had a sea view room with a large balcony with 2 sun koungers, really large window so when we woke in the morning and pulled back the curtains (fantastic blackouts ) we were greeted with a view of the sea and old city . Definitely return again as Peniscola is a beautiful town with a really large choice of restaurants and bars and miles of beach which is very safe and patrolled by life guards . Highly recommend the hotel and location .
