Nicely furnished and very clean. It had what we needed for a night. Apartment was spacious!

There was little soundproofing between floors. Towels could be nicer.

It was a nice place but there were quite a few issues one is that it didn't have air conditioning or if it did it wasn't very good. Also to get inside you have to duck down quite a bit so you don't hit your head. I rented it for my dad so he could stay down near my mom for her back surgery and he said a few nights it was almost too hot to sleep and the fan did not help. Another thing is the fact that they waited till after I rented the apartment to send the photos about the extremely low awning. They show a photo of the main door of the house but leave out the actual photo of the basement door which shows that they know it is an issue. It is a lie by omission and I don't plan to rent again from a place that would lie to me. I waited a bit to post a review to see if they updated their photos with a clear picture of the door and they have not. They have a caution sign saying they are not at fault if you hit your head. You also have to park across the street you can not use the driveway. It just isn't a good place to stay if you have any mobility issues or have a hard time bending/ducking.

I loved the location of the property as it’s off the beaten path and on a quiet, secluded property providing privacy and safety. While there isn’t abundant light from windows; there is much light to be gained from opening door with screened access. It was a quaint air conditioned space that was very clean and perfect for our brief weekend getaway.

There wasn’t much that didn’t meet the needs of my family. It was perfect.

I was attending an event at the PA Farm Show Center and the location was extremely convenient. The property was well appointed and equipped. The air conditioning was welcome on this sweltering week. The host was welcoming and helpful. He even texted me after I left that the right brake light on my car was out. There were fireflys in the field and across the street.

It wasn't clear from the listing that this is a basement apartment with no outside windows or light. It also wasn't clear that access was through stairs under a deck with clearance of only about 5 feet so getting in meant scrunching down really low. It was OK for me but if my wife had been along she couldn't have passed through the portal. The refrigerator was set so cold that all the bottles of water were frozen solid.

I enjoyed my overall stay and look forward to booking again! Extremely quiet, clean and very peaceful. Thanks for all your accommodations.

Very private, quiet basement apartment. The living space was adequate and comfortable. There is a small fridge with freezer, microwave and air fryer that is adequate enough for a short term stay. The bed was very comfortable and cozy! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the McNeill Mansions.

Parking across the street off property might discourage other travelers, wish they had necessities such as salt/pepper, sometimes it can be a little loud from upstairs occupants -- again, it's a basement apartment. So if you want complete silence, this might not be the place for you.

Wife needed sleeping plas while I was in hospital
