We stayed at Villa Berina for 6 weeks (mid April to end May). While the weather was terrible having only a handful of sunny days during our long stay, at least we could be quite comfortable in the villa. The finishes are of high quality and most aspects are very comfortable. A few minor issues with WiFi and power outages were quickly remedied. The location is about 15 minutes from the house to the main parking lots along the Makarska waterfront. The villa is remote with only a few neighbors so it’s good for an escape whilst still being in reasonable proximity to restaurants, beaches and other attractions. Being so remote you will enjoy the local “wildlife”: birds, cats insects and lots of bees. The number of bees looked alarming to us as everyday they congregate by the pool to drink water but never during our stay did they venture towards us resting on the sun loungers just a couple of meters away. But if you have a bee allergy it’s good to know. The owners are kind and during parts of the year will reside in the unit next to the villa but they are very discreet and will not intrude in any way. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the villa and would recommend it.

We have just returned from a beautiful week at this villa. The views are stunning, the villa very comfortable and equipped with everything you might need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We loved being surrounded by nature and having breakfast on the balcony with the birds chattering in the fruit trees. The garden is beautifully tended and tidy and the pool is stunning. The owner was very friendly, but did not intrude on our stay although available for anything we might need. As the villa is reached by a narrow country lane and at the top of Veliko Brdo, which is on a steep hill, a car is essential.

We are just back from 2 glorious weeks in Villa Berina. It is a fantastic villa for 4/5 people, fully air conditioned with good wifi everywhere, spotlessly clean, very well equipped. The views are stunning. It is a beautiful, quiet retreat with easy access by car to Makarska and numerous beaches, with a supermarket nearby. The owners were very welcoming and helpful at all times and responded to any queries we had. We recommend Brela and Igrane as beaches to visit, also a trip to Mostar in Bosnia was very interesting. This villa is superb. Did I mention the glorious views?

We spent one week with my whole family (2 adults and 2 kids). The owners are very welcoming. The house is just like on the pictures, even better. The house is very clean and well equiped. The surroundings are very pleasant: on one side a 180° sea view and on the opposite the moutains. The house is located in the middle of olive trees so it is very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back !
