Immaculate cabin with beautiful decor and furniture. My family had a wonderful time! Thank your for allowing pets. Beds were super comfortable, tons of pillows and space to enjoys the mountain view. Felt very cared for during the stay. Thank you for the great family memories - truly priceless. To quote our 6yr old " 10 out of a 10".

This was our third visit and we had an amazing experience at this beautiful property. the owner always goes the extra mile to accommodate us. The frigid weather created some challenges beyond anyones control but the response and assistance from owner was above and beyond. We are already booked for two kore visits in 2023.

Our stay was a memorable experience that we will cherish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As another reviewer said the pictures don't do it justice! I highly recommend staying here and plan on going back in the future.

This dog friendly cabin is very clean with nice amenities and amazing views. Definitely recommend 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive to access the cabin as it is a steep gravel driveway. The management company was very responsive when we had an issue with the heat, which was fixed promptly. Great for honeymoon or couples getaway.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. This is a wonderful cabin, and the view is perfect. Everything was clean and just as pictured. The only thing we needed was a bigger skillet to fry bacon in. Highly recommend the drive up to Wayah Bald a short distance away, and renting a pontoon one day. The marina had fair prices, and really nice boats with a great staff. As stated....it is in a secluded area which is exactly what we were looking for so don't forget to stop got groceries before getting there.

Absolutely would book this house again in a heartbeat. Breathtaking views. Super secluded no neighbors around. Exactly what we were looking for on our family vacation. So high up on a mountain top. View of the water. Lots of fireplaces to stay warm. Loved the firepit out back. Would 100 percent recommend this place over and over again. ❤️

Loved our time at your home. It was very nicely decorated, had new linens, towels, dishes and the cleanest hot tub we’ve ever seen. The view was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, windy and rainy while we were there. We still managed to do two awesome hikes- Bartham Falls Trail (about a 6 mile hike, rated hard due to lots of up hill) which was a beautiful hike with lots of river crossings and a medium size waterfall at the end AND Siler Bald Loop (about a 3.5 mile hike, moderately difficult with amazing views at the top). We ate at a cute place in Franklin, 828 Cafe, which had yummy bowls and burritos. We enjoyed games of scrabble, cooking and sitting by the fireplace together as a family. Very appreciative for the welcome letter to our family with snacks. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I took our kids on what we called our 10 year family-versary. My wife and I were celebrating 10 years of marriage and we wanted a luxury cabin experience. Moon Shadow turned out to be perfect. There is enough space in the three levels where my wife and I found the privacy we were looking for. The cabin had an upscale feel yet was rustic and romantic. We thoroughly enjoyed the location. The view of Nantahala Lake was amazing and access to the lake was easy. The mountain roads and creekside drives were spectacularly beautiful. There is so much to see and do. We really enjoyed the catfish fish fry at Lake's End restaurant. We had a problem with the tv's working, but the property managers responded very quickly and got it fixed the same day. They also fixed a few other issues. What's more is how they responded to my request for a portable outdoor grill. For our anniversary I wanted to cook my wife a filet mignon steak and gourmet dinner, picnic style. She loves the sound of flowing water in the mountains. Not only did their maintenance person (the same person that fixed our tv, etc.) deliver a portable grill with lighter fluid, the managers also thew in a ground blanket that we could keep, Rocher chocolates, cookies, and other treats with a card wishing up a happy anniversary. Hats off to their customer service. We really appreciated how attentive they were. We look forward to coming back!

We were looking for a beautiful, secluded property with stunning views to spend some much needed family time. This property met all of our needs and so much more. We had an amazing time! The views are just breath taking !

We will not soon forget the Moonshadow cabin experience! It was a beautiful remote cabin. The picturesque views and the well appointed amenities made our stay perfect! It is definitely off the beaten path and therefore great for off the grid relaxing! It does have wi-fi but why stare at a tech device with the view it offers!!

Large open floor plan with three levels, incredible lake and Mountain View’s with total seclusion!

This is an absolute amazing property. All of the photos show a wonderful home, and you will not be disappointed. What you are seeing in these photos is reality. The view is incredible, and they now have a very comfortable patio sofa and loveseat on the top deck that is not pictured (and where we found ourselves for hours every day). The kitchen is well appointed with a gas stove, plenty of plates and cookware. We also used the gas grill out back. All beds and linens are comfortable. The towels are thick, nice and plentiful. They supply plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, hair dryers, etc. We ate several meals at the Lakes End Marina. All were very delicious and the food nicely presented. The entire team at the marina is extremely cordial. We also rented a pontoon boat from the marina via an online rental that was processed easily. The lake is clear and tons of fun for swimmers and more. We would like to thank Anne for answering questions regarding the rental via stay Nantahala, Christy for her great cleaning of the house and Mickey for his help with a few appliance issues that were quickly resolved. This home is pet friendly, and we did bring our standard poodle with us. He had a marvelous time. While pet friendly, there were no visible pet hairs from other creatures nor pet smells. The hot tub was so enjoyable, there's great satellite TV and, again, incredible views. A few takeaways: We did bring battery operated lanterns, and those came in handy during a power outage due to a storm. Such storms happen during the intense heat of the summer. There also are plenty of bees - not sure if honey bees or yellow jackets. They seemed fairly non aggressive but plentiful. If you are allergic, pack an epi pen. You will need to drive a 4-wheel or all-wheel vehicle to easily traverse the road leading to the home. It is steep but certainly maneuverable with well-packed gravel. It is a steep climb but certainly worth it when you have unobstructed views of paradise from the porches. We would happily return to this property in the future. We rent a lot of vacation homes. and this one certainly is a treasure to behold. We made a lot of memories there with family and friends. I hope others will do the same. This place is certainly a wonderful treasure.
