My family and I live in separate states. Kentucky is the perfect halfway point to drive to and meet up. This house was perfect for our early holiday gathering. The house has everything you need to cook and more. It was clean, and had so many games for all ages! We loved the outdoor swings and hot tub. I ended up doing an extended check out to give us a little bit more time since we had two toddlers with us. It was super easy to keep in touch with the owner. We would definitely come back next year!

The cabin was immaculate upon arrival and the check in process was seamless! Everything was thought out and wonderfully placed, down to the extra towels for the hot tub and small blankets for the swings by the fire pit! We especially enjoyed the stock pile of games provided in the game room!

This house is beautiful and spacious with plenty to do for kids and adults. - Everything is very new, clean, and well-maintained. We stayed with my in-laws and everyone was impressed at how lovely the space was. - Follow the directions they provide to get to the house. At first, it is a little confusing to get back to the neighborhood. Just follow the instructions (and not your phone!) and you will be fine. - The path down to the lake is very, very steep. We have an inflatable kayak and paddleboard, and it was a challenge to get them up and down, even though they are relatively light. Plan accordingly, especially if you have anyone with physical limitations. - It took us about 40 minutes to get to the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. It is a pleasant drive. - Kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. There were even serving platters and some kid friendly plastic options.

Overall, this a great home that has been given a lot of care and attention. I will say, a more accurate description would be mountain house with a lake view. The lake is accessible down a steep path and a walk through the woods with ticks and poison ivy to a small opening that one or two people could fish from or possible launch a kayak if you’re limber. I don’t say that to take away from the house, but it’s not the kind of place you’re going to be hanging out in/at the lake. Luckily, there is so much to do inside the house, we didn’t mind. The game room and trading post were a HUGE hit with the both the kids and the adults. The porch was great, especially the gates to keep the kids and dogs safe, and the fire pit with swings was such a fun place to hang out. The kids loved the hot tub too! The beds are really comfortable and the house was very clean. Few areas to improve, the outside patio furniture needs thicker cushions. The kitchen is really stocked, but unfortunately, that doesn’t leave any room for groceries and supplies we purchased. Would love to have a low cabinet behind the couch for more storage. Also bath mats and additional hand towels. We visited Mammoth National Park and did a cave tour, which we recommend. Keep in mind the house is set back from the main road and it’s a quiet area. We never mind because the point of our vacations is to spend time cooking meals and playing games so it’s a great place to tuck away and enjoy the time with your family.

We loved everything about this wonderful home. It is so spacious, decorated beautifully and so comfortable. We had fun on the back porch with a beautiful view of the lake and sunsets. The hot tub and fire pit were exceptional touches. Thanks for the lovely experience.

Our family traveled to the area to visit Mammoth Caves. This home is great for all ages! The game room was a huge hit for the kids and adults! The home is a little tricky to find but with the step by step instruction that were given before we arrived we had no issues. The communication with the owner was great!!

Stayed as a family of 6. Short drive to mammoth cave which is why we came. House has everything you will ever need and perfect for kids of all ages. Would definitely stay again!

We choose a out of the way place every year for our family to spend time with each other. This cabin checked all the boxes for us. My only complaint was getting to the cabin, the google maps take you to a road that is not accurate so make sure you use the address that the manager gives you in the communications.. We wanted a place closer to the Mammoth Caves, Dinosaur World and ATV riding but this place is 30-60 minutes from those activities, google maps make them seem closer than they really are. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, game room it gave everyone in our family an activity or place to relax. We made a lot of smores by the fire and enjoyed the wrap around deck with gates for the kids. It is a awesome get away.

We stayed here for a short trip and everything was very nice. The heat was hard to regulate in the bedrooms, a couple rooms downstairs were cold at night. When we arrived there was quite a bit of white hair throughout the flooring and couch, so it didn’t get a 5 star for cleanliness. Overall, we were pleased with the set up, complimentary snacks, coffee, and ability to purchase forgotten items, like a toothbrush for my son. The hot tub was really nice and the hike down to the water was steep but enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!

We stayed here with friends over New Year's Eve. The house is beautiful and well-stocked. They even had it decorated for the holidays! It's a perfect layout for staying with friends. We loved the hot tub, and the property manager even came over on New Year's Day when we had an issue getting it to heat up. The game room was a huge hit for the kids and the adults. We did a tour of Mammoth Cave which is just a short drive away, and took the quick walk down to the lake to throw rocks and look for shells and fossils. The house has a cute little closet shop with all the things you might need and not want to go out for (batteries, Tylenol, etc.). This came in handy for us a couple of times!

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin!! We had eight adults and five children and we all fit perfectly. It was such a beautiful setting, with the woods and water both so close. We will be back as soon as we can!!

Pro: The house fit 12 people wonderfully! Pro: The host was very responsive. Pro: The game room was a delight. Pro: The host thought of many 'extra's' to make you feel at home, such as stocked toilet paper, soaps, and beach towels. Con: The 'walking path' to the lake was very steep. It was harder for our young children and my parents to get down there without slipping on the mud & gravel. Once it is paved or stairs are put it, it will be easier, but for now it is renter 'be forewarned.' Con: The grill by the firepit is tiny, and you have to provide your own charcoal. If the owner added a grill to the deck it would be appreciated. Overall, this house has lots of great amenities, and we enjoyed our stay. This is an up and coming neighborhood and I have no doubt this house & the walk down to the dock will be amazing in the next year or two. Thanks for a great vacation.

Stayed here while visiting the National park. Great house with great views. There is no “access” to the lake, but there are wonderful views.

Our family (my wife, two daughters, two sons, and my father) thoroughly enjoyed this newer, very clean, and spacious home as a "base camp" for exploring the area, especially Mammoth Caves. The hot tub was great, the towels and lines were all great quality, and the decor was very pleasant. The "lake access" was a bit overstated with a scramble down a steep gravel driveway and then a narrow path through the woods (lots of ticks) ending in a rocky, un-maintained shoreline. The digital home concierge was very useful, providing local details as well as easy check-out.
