The location is wonderful. Very central and close to the beach. Breakfast is small but in a nice café.

the floors were dirty, the bed uncomfortable, it was real loud to sleep with the window open. no chance to change the rooms, as the AC of the next room was real loud. just not a cozy feeling in this room. I would suggest to spend a couple of € more and sleep somewhere else.

Location! Right between the beautiful, stony beach (sounds awful but it’s actually really nice) and the cute strip where I think mostly locals go. And between the hotel and the beach is another big strip with more hotels, so I think the more touristed area. Private balcony. Cute shared terrace. Owner is really nice. Great Wi-Fi connection.

The pillows leave a bit to be desired. Also limited outlets near the bed; I had to unplug the light (not a big deal for me but could be inconvenient for some).

The hotel is located near all what we need to enjoy our trip such as the beach, nice restaurants, stores, supermarket, etc, the historical center is located 2 blocks from the hotel. The room is confortable and so quiet so we can rest. Francesco is a nice host, always trying to help us out with what we need. We will come back with our family on vacations.

Excellent location near beach and antic part of Scalea, good room and facilities, fantastic and helpful owner and staff. They provide you all information about the destination. Also give a good idea about restaurants including with very big discounts.

Location from train station too far to walk with luggage. 2 taxi driver at station but cars not marked TAXI and drivers not interested. No one at reception desk, Antonio speaks no English. The location of Hotel Scalea is difficult to better. It is very near to the pedestrianised area, the daytime centre for cafe culture and evening time bars which is adjacent to the old town - a beautiful place to explore, especially at dusk. Plenty of very good and fair-priced restaurants nearby. The beach is equally near - just a two-minute walk! The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, large, bright and airy – with a good size balcony to enjoy the morning sunshine. There was also a small fridge to keep drinks cool and ample power-points. The town was reasonably busy (mid-September) it was still very warm day and night and the town was nice and lively, but without being too busy that it felt crowded or too difficult to get a table at a good restaurant. A nice, friendly atmosphere - all within a minute or two walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Slight disappointment that the terrace was unavailable for breakfast, served instead at a nearby cafe. The cafe was perfectly nice and the staff there were also very friendly. But it would've been 'more hotel' to have breakfast on the hotel terrace as it's still very warm in September.

Like an ARNB getting Keys for all Doors.This place should NOT be allowed to publish BREAKFAST INCLUDED, THERE IS NO B'FAST, you get a Card for a nearby GELATERIA, IT allows you to have an ESPRESSO OR LATTE MACHIATO and a CROISSANTS OR TWO, PRICE IS TO HIGH NOW COVID LOW SEASON, AND FORBIDDEN HIGH DURING SUMMER SEASON. THE CHEATING POINT IS THE FALSE emphasis false CLASSIFICATION AND THE *** STARS. I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE. THE MATTRASS IF CAN BE CALLED A MATTRASS (feeling Like sleeping in straw) WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

The room and equipment was good. We appreciate that we got room suitable for a person with disabilities and the hotel was barrierles as there was a ramp. (To be honest this was the only one accommodation during our holidays). Beach was very close and would be fine. Hotel is located close to the centre (pedestrian zone.) We were there in the second half of September, so no problem with parking. It would worst in the main season,

I would rate quality / price ratio higher, if the price would be a little bit lower whe we were there out of the main season.
