Yes the house was lovely and in an awesome location. Unfortunately there is a MASSIVE BUT with this property. I booked the house so last minute, it was a spur of the moment thing for a friends birthday and I had been flat out all day. I was really looking forward staying there and having a good night. My friend had gotten there before I did because I had to work and we had another friend coming to do our makeup. Upon my arrival I was met with the owner’s at the front of the property after being scolded by the neighbour for momentarily stopping in the shared driveway because I had no idea where to park. The owners seemed nice enough and requested I pay the $200 bond, which was fine. They then proceeded to tell me that they live in the property that is overlooking the townhouse, I definitely would’ve preferred to NOT be aware of that. It is a smart business decision to be close to the properties to keep an eye out but with the sheer see through curtains and no block out blinds facing the owners property we felt like we were being watched the whole time. I was then questioned about how many people were staying at the house and I said 3. There was an issue on my end with the booking, I did put 3 guests down but that information didn’t go through. I was then interrogated about whose car was whose because we had someone there momentarily doing our makeup and then she was leaving. it was SO CLEAR that there was a bit of hostility in the air when I arrived, not towards me but my friend whose birthday it was and the girl doing our makeup. My assumption on what I walked into is this: There are 2 of these townhouses right next to each other. a few girls had booked the one next to us and arrived at the exact time I did. they had entered through the wrong entrance hence the confusion with the parking. I believe that the owners have seen multiple cars in the one driveway and felt the need to intervene.
