Slightly small but not an issue

The property was comfortable, had enough facilities to look after ourselves and ideally placed to wander into Aviemore. The heating wasnt working and it was necessary to call the duty manager who responded immediately and had the issue resolved remotely.

The heating was temperamental and needed resetting remotely.

The furnishings were nice. Bed was comfy

The walls are paper thin! You can hear everything happening next door and above you. If you like your sleep uninterrupted and without constant noises from all around you, save your money and stay elsewhere.

Very stylish

Was far too hot and stuffy but we couldn’t open the door at night as we were on the front of the property and got the noise from the road and party goers until 3am. Although the dark decor was very stylish as soon as the bathroom was used it looked dirty as the black shows every splash mark.

That had fridge and kettle it was also spotless!!!

The location is good. In the midst of all the amenities of Aviemore. The bed is comfortable.

The room is tiny. There is no place to leave your luggage and very little space to move around the bed. There is no bedside table on one side of the bed. The outside space looks out on a blind wall at the entrance of the parking area. Although there is a small kitchen, you would never cook anything as there is no space in the room to sit and eat it.

No full length mirror, couldn’t use mirror in bathroom as too dark-needed a light around it. Bowls need to be larger, didn’t fit my breakfast in. Plate/utensil drainer needs a base that doesn’t leak, pointless as it currently gets water all over counter top. Only given less than half a toilet roll for a night stay, had to ration it. Couldn’t get smart tv to work, only got freeview. Lightbulb needed replaced in lamp and ceiling light.

The room was clean and new.

The bathroom has no window and poor lights, way too dark. The walls are very thin, so you can easily hear people come in to their rooms. A big disadvantage of this kind of self catering hotels without a host: no control, so people can be very noisy.

Place was immaculately clean and tidy. Very easy to get access as we had prior communication before arriving. I will certainly be returning, maybe even in the winter for some Skiing.

Great location and value. Very clean and comfortable. The staff I spoke to were super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. A special thanks to Holly. I'd stay there again and at their other locations.

Could have made more of the seating area, no where to relax e.g. a couch or eat e.g table and chairs. It just had two occasional chairs that looked pretty but weren't much use. A bath would have really made it.

Great location, stylish and comfortable, nothing to fault really.

Bed sheets were dirty. Very hard to reach the emergency contact. Cleaner was sent back at 8pm to change bed. Room extremely small.

Easily accessible to everything.

Beds were tiny, but we only stayed one night and slept well.

It was a nice double, small but fine for a couple of nights. Bed was comfy and fridge, microwave and sink in the room was great.

Not sure about the black bathroom, toilet and sink. Room far too hot and as it was patio doors you couldn't really leave the door open slightly as on the ground floor. Something that could be fitted to allow the door to open slightly but the security of it not being opened fully. There are products available to do this and not overly expensive.

We arrived at Sweeney rooms last night. We were both blown away by the exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness, I had a request for Martin, the owner to make my stay a little more romantic and memorable all. Him and his staff carried out my request to a T and made for an extremely memorable night. Inside the room everything was designed with no expense spared. There is a built in microwave, kitchen style modern sink. There is facilities to make tea and coffee and to easily heat up your own food should you want too. There was a decent size built in fridge to keep our drinks chilled. The shower was powerful and easy to adjust to whatever temperature we required. I have been coming to Aviemore for most of my life now and NOWHERE in Aviemore compares to Sweeney rooms. Thanks again Martin and Jamie Lee for making our stay so memorable and we will be back!

The black out curtains and powerful shower

Wash basin too small, toilet roll holder was broken, chair leg wonky and vanity stool way too low to see the mirror. Also the left hand window mechanism needs adjusted as it was hard to close.

Great location to stay for being able to go a walk in Aviemore

I booked a room with a double bed but it was two singles pushed together. We couldn’t cuddle in the middle of the bed because we could feel the gap between the beds so had to do one of the sides but then felt right at the edge of the bed so comfort wasn’t good.

Beautiful decor, private parking, easy access to town.

No hand soap or shower gel, despite having a wall-mounted shower gel dispenser in the shower cubicle.

The property was fantastic, very easy to find with good parking. Not far from local shops and attractions. The rooms themselves were stunning, the decor and the floor space were amazing. You can 100% count on a good nights sleep here with how comfortable the beds are! Bathrooms so spacious and very clean and well maintained. Balcony’s are beautiful and a good size! This place is just perfect.

Modern design.

Very tiny room, slightly claustrophobic, no space to put your case. You get a PIN code to access your room the day of your arrival but not particularly early which can be quite anxiety making. Never stayed in this type of serviced appartement before and it’s in no way a reflection on the owner but it feels a bit hostel like to have ‘housemates’ that you’ve never seen.

But the outside verandas wasn’t clean, there were no coffee/tea, no toaster, the cutlery was poor. The acoustics were dreadful we were able to hear all the noise of the young couple next door. We emailed the host twice and got no reply

We loved the modern decor and how close it was to the high street. It was super clean, very welcoming and felt cosy. We felt it was good value for money and even offered free parking at the property.

Unfortunately the walls are very thin, we were awoken more than once due to dogs barking and crying from infants. This certainly put a dampener on our moods and overall stay, I would recommend the Sweeney rooms start providing ear plugs or try to remember to bring your own! Also the fire door slams very loudly when people exit/enter the property which is regularly this is heard from upstairs in room 8(I’d imagine in all rooms really) and is another flaw within the design of the property! Maybe a gentle reminder sign for people not to let the door slam would help?
