The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

My wife and I decided to get away for a few days and we picked the bay tree because I had stayed there years ago as a kid. The unit we stayed in was on the top level. The unit was perfect for us as far as size and amenities and the price seemed acceptable but when you add The reservation fee and the cleaning fee it is probably a little more pricey than a very nice hotel room. However, aside from location this unit is not very nice. The room smelled of mold and I could even see some on the ceilings. When we were packing up to leave, I found a cockroach in one of my shoes. I just don’t think it’s worth the money. I can’t speak as to the staff because we never actually saw or spoke to anyone.

This rental is conveniently located and has a great view of the ship channel. When I arrived the unit was cool and clean. My only complaint was that it is accessed by four sets of stairs and I was not told this ahead of time. I am in my 70’s and that would have been useful information.

The bed was really comfortable and appliances worked great. However the place needs to be refreshened with paint and good scrubs. No bugs. Great pool. The climb 3 flights is not for the faint hearted. But we choose it for the view.
