This property was such a unique & beautiful find! The hosts kept in touch throughout our stay to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. Location was wonderful and close to so many towns and attractions. We enjoyed hiking in Shenandoah National Park and enjoyed many of the local restaurants in the area as well. The house was relaxing and quiet and we loved that it was dog friendly as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be telling others about this wonderful home and hosts!

This house is small and mighty. It is beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed and had coffee/tea supplies. The bed was super comfortable and helped us to sleep in a bit. I highly recommend this house and we will come back.

We recently had the most incredible stay at the Cozy 1830 Summer Kitchen! The property's unique blend of historic charm and modern comforts, such as the original 1830 hearth and hearth walls, captivated my husband and me. Dena's exceptional responsiveness and invaluable recommendations for things to do and see in the area made us feel well taken care of and reassured throughout our stay. Overall, our experience at the Summer Kitchen exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed a truly unforgettable getaway. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this hidden gem of the Shenandoah Valley!

Very quiet neighborhood. Right in between JMU (where my son goes to school) and Luray Caverns (which we visited the next day). Very cozy and clean little house. The mattress on the sofa bed was very comfortable too.

The property was really clean and well stocked. It was quaint and cozy. The check in process was really easy and the property manager was very responsive. Definitely recommend booking if you’re in the area and will book in the future.

The Summer Kitchen is beautifully restored and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are both new, and the kitchen is well-stocked. The sitting area faces the old brick of the original kitchen--absolutely lovely. The bedroom is spacious and the linens are all new. A patio out back features a relaxing sitting area and a brand new gas grill. Perfect for solo travellers or couples! I intend to return with my husband for some fall leaf-gazing. (There's a pull-out in the living room, but I think it would be tight for two couples, since you have to walk through the living room to get to the kitchen.) The host was helpful and very quick to answer queries. Highly recommended!
