Practical with the kitchen

All was good no dislikes

If you want a great place to stay in Cheddar then this guest house is perfect. The rooms are to a high standard including a spacious, new and high quality bathroom. We were greeted by Margaret at the door with a welcoming smile who showed us to our room and told us about all the facilities that are available.

I could not think of a negative comment to say about this guest house. Lovely people in a lovely place.

The property has good car parking, and accomodation is quite. The property is located just 1 mile from Cheddar Gorge. We were welcomed by property owner (Mag) and took us to room. Room is quite spacious and maintained well. The bathroom is well maintained. The Rooms have a common kitchen and well equipped. I would recommend travellers to make the choices (based on availability) and stay here. They provide multiple types of Breakfast services too.

One of areas of improvements could be speed of internet (was slow when we visited).

So easy to book and communication instantly from the owner. Very easy to find, the house is spotless and the room was a great size. Had everything we needed and especially liked the complimentary breakfast cereals and yoghurts in the shared kitchen that made our morning a little easier with a toddler! Also great to have the cutlery, crockery and glasses to use in the room and the option of a cooked breakfast. Great location to visit Cheddar, we chose to drive but would be an easy walk. Parking right outside the house off road was ideal. Very friendly owners and lovely view from the window over their landscaped garden with a big fish pond which kept the little one amused!

Nothing to fault!

It was our first b&b experience and because of our stay here we will consider staying at other places.. we arrived early and was welcomed in with no problem. From the moment of pulling up everything was pristine, the b&b has obviously had a considerable amount of money spent on it to put it at a high standard. The shower was amazing, the room was very clean. The towels were lovely and soft. The breakfast this morning was delicious and cooked fresh at a time decided by us. The hosts were fantastic. Very easy going, no pressure and nice to talk to over breakfast this morning. We can't wait to come back.

Wassells House is a brilliant place to stay in Chedder. Mags and Bruce are so very welcoming and warm. The room we stayed in, Grenadier, was large and extremely clean with a comfy sofa, comfier bed and soft towels. The BnB has been recently renovated to a high standard and every detail has been thought of. Breakfast was home-made by Mags, even the veggie sausages, a great start to our day! The shared kitchen and table in the room are a nice touch for people staying for longer. Location wise it’s perfect for the nearby trails and reservoir. Plus just a short scenic walk into town for the restaurants and attractions.
