two person girls weekend. Super excited. Great location. Unfortunately the apartment smelled like stale cigarette smoke all weekend. I am highly sensitive. And it was a very disappointing part of the experience.

Was unsure when we pulled on for parking. Curb appeal would have been a great touch. We like sitting outside and enjoy the surroundings. Inside is tastefully decorated, very cute! Comfortable beds++! Great idea for your place, remove the fireplace add a slidding door with a deck! Bam!

We had a wonderful time checked in on a Monday and out on Wednesday-so we have no idea of weekend traffic/noise. We were able to visit some very nice wineries, beautiful lighthouses and amazing covered bridges. We will keep this cottage in mind if we plan another visit to the area.

Pros: Clean, Well Stocked Kitchen, Laundry Facilities - provided detergent and dryer sheets. Nice TVs in every bedroom Cons: listed in order of annoyance The door would not lock! Very noisy- Traffic right on road, neighbors dog barking, music playing loud. Parking area right on road and it was Flooded. Had to walk through water to get to the door. Outside area very small and unable to tell what you could use and what was other people’s property. Cleaning- had directions to do their laundry before we could leave, had to do dishes before we left (which is reasonable) but there was no dishwasher.

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit is clean with plenty of room. Full size appliances and on site laundry are very important. It’s a short drive to the GOTL strip and lake access. It’s a little close to the road but overall great place. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect for 2 people, having our own bathrooms was superb! Very clean & updated. Would have been nice to have an outside area with privacy, too close to road & need back door access.

I really enjoyed my stay at the house we rented. and will return.

We had a wonderful time the weather was perfect and our driver Daneille was a blast would highly recommend her or request her. We only had 2 small complaints the beda were uncomfortable and the house smelled of cigarette smoke but other than that we liked it

The place was decent. There were some minor issues. The door was extremely hard to deal with, the floors weren’t very clean when we arrived, but overall the place was nice. However, please be aware that if you are going to Geneva during the off season, most things are going to be closed. Sunset Taxi and Transportation acts like it’s a big inconvenience to take you anywhere since they never seem to be running “taxi service” which is not what the listing says… so I wish that the hosts had let us know that. We probably would’ve planned our small trip somewhere else.

My brother, dog, and I stayed over Christmas. It was the perfect space for us. Everything had been recently renovated and the whole cottage was very clean. We had sub-zero weather, high winds, and snow while there. This lead to the hot water going out in the kitchen and one bathroom sink. The response time was excellent. The maintenance team was great. The water was hot again within a couple hours. It’s very close to the lake and the side yard looked very usable (we didn’t take advantage due to the snow). If you wanted a cozy winter getaway with the intention of staying in, this is a great place. I can see the potential of this as a great summer destination.

My family stayed at this property while visiting relatives in the area and were really impressed by both the quality and value of the accommodations. The interior of the apartment was perfect for our family of five—the space is set up well with two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and cozy living room area. It’s really twice the space and amenities you would get in a nice hotel suite at less than half the price. The location is also ideal—just a short walk from the Geneva-on-the-Lake strip, but far enough away that the noise and crowds won’t be a nuisance. We’ll definitely stay again.

The location of this cute cottage was great! I loved having a mini mart/gas station within walking distance. It was great having two bathrooms also. Cottage was clean and had everything my husband and I needed for the weekend. No one bothered us. We loved the fire pit area too. Would stay again!!

This location was very clean. We were very relaxed and enjoyed our time. Niagara Falls was a short distance from us. The lake is beautiful. Highly recommend this location.

Great for our girls trip!

We enjoyed our stay at Geneva-on-the-Lake. The rental was very comfortable for 2 couples and a dog! We appreciate that Sunset Vacation Rentals accommodated a change in dates as we were dealing with family medical issues for our original stay. Highly recommend this rental for a weekend getaway!

I liked this property as a structure. The interior was completely redone and was beautiful. The kitchen was a little tight by the refrigerator but nothing horrific..just don't lean on the stove!!! When you lean on the stove, you push the knob in and when you move, it turns the knob and turns on the burner!! The group there before me left a note about it. The property was not close to the strip at all (a mile away) though it seemed to be on the strip based on the original description. I booked the place based on that but should have read further down where it is noted that the strip is a mile away (this should really be in the main description). The description also stated that it was "steps away" from a "walkway to" the lake. This is completely false. A VIEW of the lake can be seen if you walk three houses down to a grassy area. But this grassy area is NOT a walkaway. It's just a grassy area that leads to a fairly steep hill. Based on the description, I was thinking that it would be right outside my door. I also didn't like that there was someone living on the other side of the property and not renting there. It made me uncomfortable. There was also a house beside the property, on the other side of the fire-it, that seemed rundown. As a single female traveling alone, pictures of what the fire pit area looked like would have been helpful. I ended up leaving a day early.

This cottage is clean and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay in GOTL.

This property is very close to the strip! The funnest and easiest way to get to the strip is to get a golf cart taxi from sunset taxi service! The property was nice and we had a great time!

Clean and comfortable place with all needs provided. Only downer is has a permanent resident lived in adjoining property, but had vary little interaction with her and the property is on the main road goin into GOTL. If this doesn't bother you....AWESOME PLACE

This two bedroom, two bath cottage was the perfect location for our stay as our homebase while we explored Geneva-on-the-Lake. Clean, up to date, functional. The living room space is small but that leaves extra space for the generous bedrooms and baths. The outdoor fire pit and picnic area were like extra space. Be aware that the "road" maps tells you the house is on does not have a sign and looks like a driveway. The lovely neighbor in the attached cottage saw us turn around and waved us in to the correct spot. There is a small store across the street which was convenient and the drive into town was super fast and straight down the road. Our only disappointment (which really turned out to be funny) was the "beach access" in Ohio seems to be different than where we are from. There is access to stand near the lake, but it is more of a concrete break wall. We were pointed to the town park for a beach instead and that was just a concrete platform, you couldn't get to the water at all. Our expectations of laying out on the sand turned into bouts of laughter. Don't let the lack of sand stop you, this cottage is wonderful if you'd like to explore the area.

House is just like the pictures. Very clean, full refrigerator and oven. Two nice size beds. Minutes from town. Washer and dryer. TV’s in both bedrooms and living room. Very cozy.

The host was easy to work with.

Everything was great the only negative things worth mentioning was the lack of blinds in two of the windows and it was weird the shower had a full window in it. It would also be nice if we could have plugged things into the tvs like a roku and consoles.

Great place to stay and spend time at Geneva. Perfect for 4 people. Did experience damp sheets on the first night. Would go back for sure.

Location is great, cottage is a nice size. The bonus is that there are two bathrooms and a full size washer and dryer. Check in was great as one is given a code so no dealing with keys.

We had a great time everything was just like in the pictures it was clean conveniently located and quiet would do without any doubt

It was very clean and well appointed. However location was disappointing. Towels could be better. BTW no shower soap or Kleenex.
