We had a great time at The Gables. The dock was a great place for fishing and swimming. The fire pit got used a few nights. The house was very well stocked with items we would need. Overall it was a wonderful time and we will look forward to returning.

This was our first staff weekend retreat and we had an amazing time. The house is perfectly situated on the lake it immaculately cared for and beautiful. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental house. The house was welcoming and so nicely decorated. We enjoyed cooking, eating, and playing games. We particularly enjoyed drinking our coffee on the dock overlooking the lake every morning. We also had a private yoga class on the grass in front of the lake and felt rejuvenated being around the trees and water. There was even firewood for the fire pit! We had 8 adults and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. Five of us had our own bedroom and 3 shared one room very comfortably. We will be back again. Thank you for an amazing weekend!!

My family loved the Gables. An amazing secluded lot with great waterfront. We traveled to Lake Anna to celebrate my daughters wedding. The Gables was the perfect spot and we highly recommend!

The view is wonderful, area by the dock perfect for socializing, little ones going in water and enjoying the sandy beach...gazebo a nice private space...adults fishing off the dock...easy to tie up a rented boat. Beds very comfy (often an overlooked item at rental houses)-great kitchen and open to living area. We loved the pantry for storage of the ton of food we brought! the bedroom closets (two of them) were big enough for pack n plays for the little ones. Enjoyed pool table and foos ball as well. A wonderful comfortable place for all ages.

Outstanding set up for families with toddlers. The toddler beach was a huge hit. The waterfront firepit was primo. Great to have three master bedroom/bath combos.

When the 15 of us arrived, my husband and I with our 3 daughters, husbands and children, were thrilled when we entered your beautiful home. The bedrooms were spacious and the Gable Room was great for our 5 boys. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, cookware, and utensils. The pantry was well stocked with larger cooking appliances and space for us to store our food. The basement family room was great for all of us with the pool table, foosball, and large screen TV. The outside fire pit was used several nights for s'mores and just to relax during our day and evening swimming. The beach was great for our two great grandsons (1 1/2 year old) to play and run into the water. The stationery dock was easy for young and old to walk on and jump in the water. Partial covered dock was used for fishing and made it able to get out of the sun. The dock house was full of lawn and water items for our use. The kayaks and life jackets were used many days. We all would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing home away from their own home. The owners, Don and Bitsy were wonderful to work with and Bitsy has several of her paintings in the house. Sunset Properties, Laura and Rachel were very kind and quick to respond to any of our questions. All ages will enjoy a stay at this home for a wonderful vacation.

We brought 16 of us to the Gables for our family vacation and as soon as we opened the front door, the beauty of the owner's spacious home and the view of the lake immediately melted our stress away! The kitchen and walk-in pantry were appointed with everything we needed to make and serve meals, which we could do while the rest of the family gathered in the open living and dining area. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable and our older kids loved having their own space in the upper gabled bedroom or hanging out downstairs in the game room to play pool or video games. The walk down the wooden path from the house to the lake was easy for all age groups and the sandy beach and gentle slope into the water was perfect for little ones. The beautiful pergola area with the great fire pit was our gathering place each day while the kids swam, fished off the dock, and went kayaking. All of us had a great time and we hated to leave! The owners are wonderful to work with and went out of their way to make sure that their home was in perfect condition especially after a storm hit the area and knocked down some trees onto their property. This rental property is beautiful inside and out and you can feel the pride and care the owners have for their home in every nook and cranny!

We highly recommend The Gables. We celebrated a birthday party at The Gables last weekend and everyone was very impressed with how beautiful and well-maintained the house and property was. The online pictures don't do it justice. The owners and property management company were a real pleasure to work with. Very responsive and flexible. I would rent from them again in a heartbeat. You can't go wrong with this property.

We were celebrating our Mother's 75 Birthday and had 14 family members. The Gables is very spacious and comfortable with plenty to do for all ages in the family. We will certainly return for any family reunions.

We combined three families connected by three husbands who were college roommates. The women had a fabulous time bonding and cooking Thanksgiving dinner in the spacious well stocked kitchen and envying the large walk in pantry. The men and kids created their own memories playing football in the back yard under the natural tree canopy. All the beds and showers were spacious and provided well deserved nights of rest. Our group capped off our memorable stay sharing s'mores around the fire pit with the glass-like lake and dock as our backdrop. Yep, like I said, a perfect thanksgiving. Can't wait to return to this dream of a home.

This was our 2nd year returning to the beautiful Gables at Lake Anna. We are a group of busy moms that get together once a year. This was our 14th year going away and we are thrilled we have finally found an amazing home to go back to each year to rest, relax, soak up the sun on the great dock, scrapbook a little, kayak, walk, visit local wineries, and just be together! The kitchen pantry is perfectly stocked with serving pieces, the house is clean, and the beds are comfortable. Our favorite part of the entire weekend was relaxing and laughing on the dock. What a peaceful setting! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We look forward to our fall getaway next year!

My company rented out this house for two nights for my team of 10 people. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious! I felt like I was at a B&B more than I felt like I was just "renting someones house". The bathrooms were all stocked with towels, the kitchen had all of the appliances and dishes we needed and then some! All of the rooms were perfectly decorated and themed. The lot backs up directly to the lake with a massive doc, small beach area and a fit pit where we enjoyed a bonfire one night. There's ample space for parking cars and there's plenty of ourdoor seating areas both on the front and back porch of the house. The property management company was very easy to work with, polite and easy to get in touch with. The ONLY negative about this house would be the neighbors. We had a few people outside at one point in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday (it was around 4pm). We were laying on the doc/swimming and the neighbors called and issued a noise complaint 3 times that afternoon. This isn't something in the owners or property managements control so I cannot' fault the owners for this or lower their score at all, but just something to keep in mind. THANK YOU!

We had a wonderful time at the Gables this past weekend. It must be the best house and the best location on the lake! We were 11 adults, 5 kids over 4 and 2 kids under four. The peaceful cove and beach was perfect for swimming especially with small children. The boat dock was great for our sunfish sailboats and dingy. The secluded big back yard was great for the kids to play in. Also, we were grateful for the low back deck for grandma and the children - few steps and no fear of falling from great heights. We rented a pontoon boat and explored parts of the lake. We all agreed that we didn't see a better place than the Gables. We definitely want to go back!

We had a family and friend vacation for my Granddaughters high school and my grandsons college graduation. The ages where18 and 23 with parents and grandparents. We all loved it. The place was perfect, spacious, clean and had everything we needed from lawn games to pool table, the kitchen was very well equipped, great open floor plan. Comfortable beds, beautiful linens. You could be in a group or have privacy if needed, the house is large enough to not feel crowded. We used the two kayaks and some of the guys bought a 5 day fishing license and fished. An absolute beautiful, clean and luxurious place that I hope to go back to again. The place doesn't look or feel like a rental, but rather like a home.

We enjoyed 2 special weekends back-to-back. The first weekend was with 5 couples and 10 young children 4 years old and younger. The second weekend was with 14 adults for a non-profit organization retreat. The house easily accommodated both groups. The house is wonderful, and has everything you want in a nice house including lots of space, great open floor plan, plenty of seating, lots of pots and pans, nice linens, etc. etc. The water and the boats and the fire pit and the large yard made for many outdoor options in the back yard. The Lake Anna State Park is nearby with beautiful hikes. We loved this place and hope to return for future retreats and weekend getaways! Can't say enough good things about this place and would give it my highest recommendation for anyone looking for a special place to go with a large family or group. :-)
