Comfy bed and quiet - slept well. Nicely refurbished too. A great location for tubing on the River.

Very clean, but nowhere to sit, had to leave the window open for circulation but many people walked right by and looked in. I dont recall seeing anything that described the room as micro but that may have been my mistake. It would have been nice to have a couple chairs to sit on outside, maybe have a drink instead of having to leave. Overall… too cramped for our liking. Getting around the bed, trying not to hit the tv and trying to find an outlet for the coffee maker were just a bit frustrating. Contactless check in and out was good with good communication.

Mattress was so soft for me. I have a back pain and I can’t sleep on the soft mattress. Also, no hair dryer was there

If you're traveling without cell service, make sure you get internet somewhere on the day of your arrival because that's how/when you'll receive your check in info. There's no office/reception, you get your room number and lock code. Worked fine for us. Also make sure you know what you're looking for because the modern gray building is set perpendicular to the road, and there's a light colored sketch looking apartment building facing the road near the Motel sign. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Room was clean, modern, had everything we needed.

Recently remodeled, check in process was simple and efficient for later arrivals, room was very nice and well appointed, bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. The only negative was that the room was very warm, it was a warm day in the area, and it didn’t really ever cool off even with the ceiling fans running. The fans were helpful and maybe if they’d been running before we go there it would have helped. Overall it was an excellent stay and we’d definitely go back and stay again.

Recently renovated and decorated nicely! Loved this super cute motel. No contact, easy to manage everything, had a great stay. We loved the ceiling fans in the rooms (thank you!!) Close to restaurants and local shops.

This motel has no front desk so the idea is that it is supposed to email each guest with their check in details, including the door entry code, but I didn't receive this because I booked through Expedia. I contacted Expedia but they didn't help. I showed up at the motel at check in time anyway and thankfully there was someone who could help me get in. The room itself was comfortable and looked recently renovated. The smoke alarm kept beeping, keeping me awake at night. The television was complicated but I managed to watch YouTube on it. The location was great and the price for the room was reasonable.

Our stay at south shore motel was absolutely delightful. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze and offering helpful tips about the area. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for a restful night's sleep. I highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay while in Cowichan.

We found the room very nice, clean and freshly painted from the smell. But were disappointed about the T.V. not being able to watch and there were no instructions on how to get anything on T.V. Other than that, a very quiet and comfortable place to stay

Nice enough place with friendly staff

The check in was easy. The rooms are nice. It would be nice to have more equipment for washing dishes.

Quiet place, plenty of parking space. Room was nice, excellent bed and bedding, bathroom nice as well. Quick text respons if there were questions. I missed in the first text my room number (which was there, just didn’t see it), therefore had to text again. Only weird thing (not bad !) was the huge TV with only the possibilities of your own accounts with the various streaming services. My room had the possibility for 1 streaming service without having to login myself, because a previous guest (?) was still logged in?!

Room was very clean but much smaller than I expected. Also, TV only had streaming services - no cable or network TV channels.

everything is new and nice but the room and bathroom are ridiculously small. I assume this is for workers or someone that just needs a 15' X 15' room to sleep for the night. Price was very good.

The property was clean, fresh, and super quiet! We really enjoyed our stay! We had everything we needed to be comfortable for our short stay.

Well set up had all we needed.

No cups or glasses and no soap. I thought these were pretty standard in most motels.
