The property is beautiful and hearing the ocean all night while sleeping was indescribable :) The room was clean and very comfortable. Check in was easy and the staff were so nice and engaging. The location is 10 minutes from Mendocino center and 20 from fort Bragg, very easy drive. It was the perfect end to 4 days hiking and camping on the redwoods:)

Amazing view but needs work. The property is clearly dated and there is a lack of amenities including outlets to plug in anything. The property requires some updating and yes, I understand the lodge charm but cobwebs and insects inside is not acceptable.

The view was amazing and my room was clean, but the exterior of the buildings and the interior was very dingy and in serious need of paint and a facelift. Lots of cobwebs and one of the windows was missing a screen.
The food in the restaurant was good but very pricey.

My wife and I celebrated a memorable wedding anniversary with you. One we will never forget. With breathtaking views, superb service, and a five-star restaurant, the SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge will not disappoint.

2 day stay on a road trip up the CA coast. Nice room great view of the Big River outlet. No TV but in room internet worked well. Nice restaurant for breakfast.

3rd visit to this property. Least fav room. Maybe SPG upgrades havent made it through all of the property? Excellent views, helpful staff, new restaurant was excellent. Food fresh tasty and original. Ill probably book direct next time to choose my room.

First room had no railing around deck. Second room had noTV, no internet, no phone service, the bed was appx. 46 inches high, the wife couldn't get in so had to sleep in achair, the fireplace didn't work and there was no heat.

Nice, bright room with good dark out shades. Fireplace which we did use in July!
Big tub and separate shower - good pressure. The view is wonderful. We watched the fog roll in and out and in again on our little porch. Very quiet. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

It is clear the property is recently under new ownership. The new branding is sharp and modern and beautiful. But the facility hasn't been brought up to that standard yet. The furnishings were well-worn. The rooms have not been renovated - there were patches on the wall, visible screws holding panels up in the bathroom, and a general sense of age.
That said - the location and views from the rooms cannot be beat.
When they finally renovate the rooms to match the new branding, this will be a premium place to stay. Until then, you are paying premium prices for the location and view.

Cabin needed updated. Restaurant was way overpriced. No tv in room. No complimentary breakfast. Just not worth what we paid for the cabin. The view was stunning though.

Stayed for one night for a work trip was greeted with two nice ladies. I was able to check in early which was very helpful with my schedule. Parking was right in front of my little cabin, which was very convenient. The room was roomy very clean. The bed was extreme comfortable and the bathtub was huge! The best part of the room is by far the view from the balcony. I would have loved an extra night just to enjoy the view more! This is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend for a couple. There are no TVs, which for some could be a bummer. I didn’t get a chance to check out the restaurant, but was told it was yummy was recently renovated. Hope to come back with my husband next time!

Hotel is beautiful. Our check-in experience was a little odd – woman at front desk scolded us immediately for driving in wrong way on poorly marked driveway, and had somewhat hostile attitude towards us immediately, which was strange and unpleasant. But setting is unmatched, rooms are dated but pleasant, and restaurant was excellent with very friendly and professional staff.

The view from this property is amazing! The area is very quiet and peaceful! Although I could look at the view all day, it would have been nice to have a TV. Wish the restaurant would have been open during our visit.

Amazing Views and quiet

The property was breathtaking the pictures do not do justice. We went to Mendocino for our anniversary weekend for the first time and it was the best experience. The staff was so lovely and kind and the rooms are one of a kind. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Just simply stunning I have to come back and stay here again. Restaurant is under renovation I cannot wait to try it.

There were several issues during my stay. Firstly, the room lacked a hairdryer and bottled water, which was inconvenient especially since the on-site restaurant was unavailable. Additionally, the 24-hour service desk was unresponsive to both calls and texts. I had booked an ocean view room, but the view was obstructed by bushes and trees, requiring me to leave the cottage to actually see the ocean.

Charming property 10 minutes from Mendocino. Our cottage style room, which had a balcony, faced the ocean and had amazing views, even from the bathtub!
Real fireplace and no TV... Cozy and relaxing.
Restaurant on property was closed when we visited, but be aware of limited opening hours and days. (We found many restaurants in the area close by 8pm!) There isn't anything you can walk to so be prepared to drive to Mendocino or Ft. Bragg to dine out.

Superb. Coastal chic meets north shore rustic. Large suites with fireplaces - ours also had a spa tub - and killer views of the Pacific. Staff was great - room was wonderful. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

This is a lovely property under new management. It still has the previous name, Albion River Inn, on the sign as the new sign hasn’t arrived. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and our room had a nice ocean view and a deck with 2 chairs. During our stay the restaurant was closed for renovation but they did provide breakfast to the rooms on request. The WiFi is slow and intermittent and along much of the Mendocino coast there is no cell service. This lodge is located in Albion, about 5.5 miles south of the town of Mendocino. We would stay here again and would recommend it.

This location was truly the highlight of our trip. Walking into our room and seeing that view - Wow! Breakfast at restaurant was also outstanding.

And have wanted to stay and dine at this beautiful ocean front inn on or previous visits but could not get a room or dining reservation

The room I was I was in need of repair. The delayed maintenance shows. There were few people within the complex and why another guest was stuck next to me isn’t what I would have done as an owner. When I came tot he property at 2.30 and check I was at 3, you would have thought I robbed a bank Poor customer warmth

The property needs some updates and clean up. The cottages are darling but lots of dirt and grime around the sink caulking, chunks of paint that have fallen off and left all over the deck. The lounge chair are way broken in. The bed was nice but the shower head could use a soaking.
Apparently Expedia doesn’t give the full amount of what you pay for the room to the property. I had an extra $147 that I owed on checkout and the front desk agent didn’t understand enough to explain to me why.
