Villa Solis was wonderful! The apartment is just as in the pictures or even better. Everything was spotless and very well organized. There is a laundry downstairs where you can wash and dry your clothes. There is also a perfect covered space for grill outside. The terrace of the apartment is big, there is also a small balcony in every bedroom. The kitchen/dining room and living room are spacious and very cozy. We loved the covered pool in the "spa" area as well as the little jacuzzi/sauna. App. 10 minutes car ride to the center of Split and about 5 min walk to Stobreč center or the beach. Overall a great stay, would recommend!

The location was great. A short walk into Stobrec, which had some lovely restaurants. I would recommend Epitium for the food, and Konoba Bava for the view if you eat outdoors. Pizza Ivo around the corner was delicious, the big pizza is enough for 6! The bus takes you to Split city centre, near the market and diocletian palace in about 25mins. The facilities were all new, clean and worked well. The owners provided a nice cot with sheets for our baby and high chair upon request. They arranged a reliable and helpful cab to collect us from the airport and take us back again. They were very attentive to any queries and quick to help. The pool and whirl pool bath were clean and warm, very comfortable and the owners left a body board and ball in the pool, which our 3 year old really enjoyed.

All of the below are minor points, but useful for families with young children to be aware of. We were on a late flight and didnt realise everything would be shut on arrival and there was nothing provided for breakfast, e.g. milk, or tea or coffee. This is a minor point and the difference between very good and exceptional in the reviews. I should probably have checked before we flew and expect the owners would have helped us. The balcony was not safe for young children if unaccompanied, but you could shut it off so, again not a big issue. Our toddler is one and furniture is all sharp corners so not baby safe. The owners could not provide a booster seat for the table. The crockery was all really nice and there were no plastic cups or plates for babies or young children to use. A bread knife would have been useful.

Staff were extremely nice esp one lady that I needed translation assistance from with regard to medication. Very nice family run facility in a quite residential area. If I were to give any advice it would be to always use an Uber when traveling into Split it's faster friendlier and far cheaper than the taxi services. It's roughly a ten min ride but it's around €12 by Uber and €34 by taxi. The mall of Split it a short car ride away too which is handy as they run a Centra which is good to pick up essentials like cereal milk etc for early morning risers looking for breakfast. Although we were down with a stomach bug for the entire week we were there and didn't get to see Split at all, if I were to be stuck anywhere this would be it. Lovely people lovely apartment nice area with a stone beach 5min walk away the same for numerous restaurants should you get a chance to check them out. There's also a restaurant 2 doors up that serves nice pizzas either eat in or out. Great value for money great owners great staff 😊 will try to get back soon to actually see outside next time 😂

The only thing I didn't like was the realisation that Uber were far cheaper sooner but that was down to me not researching enough. 🤷‍♀️ So that's my tip for anyone staying in this location.

The patio doors lock as soon as you close them, leading to a few of us getting locked out on the balcony! This happened 2 or 3 times trying to keep the doors closed as much as possible to help the Aircon work better (as there is no Aircon in bedrooms), but the door slide and click shut on you.

There was no aircon in the bedrooms.

The size of the apartment was great, it was very clean and the host was very helpful. The location allows short walk to beach and restaurants.

The location is super close to the beach and the supermarket. The owner was really friendly.

The pool is way too deep to people who doesn’t know how to swim.

The apartment we had was one of three and on the first floor. Below us was the swimming pool and Spa which is excellent and being covered ( in the cooler months) meant we could use it in April. The apartment itself was roomy and the furniture and decor were to a high standard.

We were less keen on the location. The road outside is narrow, has no footpath and has many cars parked along it. When we walked down to the sea we had to constantly be aware if and move out if the way of vehicles, some of which were going to fast and passed too close to pedestrians.

the pictures were accurate the apartment was super neat, host were superb and it was lovely to have the entire swimming pool to ourselves as we were the first and only guests that had checked in so a lot of privacy. location was great 15mins from the main centre (Split), lots of local high end restaurants nearby, grocery stores and beaches.

the wifi was a little too weak. we kept dropping in out of network and the master bedroom was quite cold somehow when the heating is on it warms up the entire place except the master bedroom even though there is a fan right outside the room. there was a time where there was an electrical cutout however, the hosts are always on standby and always ever ready to respond, advise and assist no matter how late it was, which was really nice and assuring.

We arrived at 0:30, owner was waiting for us, showed us everything and was very friendly even at such time. Everything clean, swiming pool well maintained, consumables refilled (towels, toilet paper, etc.).

We were a bit unlucky and had very noisy neighbours, partying until 2 a.m.

The location was good, walking distance to a small beach and harbour with restaurants and bars, perfect for young families. Split centre was a 15 minute drive away.

I felt the pictures on the site were a bit confused. It wasn't clear which apartment in the pictures we would were booking. Also the pool area was much smaller and crowded with all the sunbeds right next to each in a small space rather than as shown on the photos.
