The basement is pretty useless as hang out area. Very small and unfinished. The bathroom in the basement is the biggest one in the house and very nice. There is owner stuff jammed everywhere down there and needs to be organized! Same with drawers upstairs! Junk in every drawer! We needed to buy basic supplies so bring extra toilet paper paper towels dish soap The beds are very comfortable but need bedside tables on both sides of beds Not enough seating in any of the rooms to hang out all together! Lots of great chairs and sand toys for the beach! Fire pit could use an update and one of the chairs is broken. Grill needs to be updated! If you can overlooked the quirks of an old house you will love the location!

The kitchen was nicely stocked and the house had plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out. Unfortunately, the grill didn’t work and when we messaged the owner with a question we did not get a response. Overall it was a very nice stay.

The basement sink and toliet area are very nice! I think during the summer, the shower area in the basement will be helpful with sand from being at the beach. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and lake without it being "right in the backyard" The backyard area is very pleasant. It was also very easy to get the key for checking in and leaving it for checking out.

The galleyKitchen was quite small but maneuverable for a few. There were plenty of beds and sleeping options.The basement was much smaller than it looked in the pictures, but the newer shower and bathroomdown there was nice. We had some door knob issues including getting locked into the upstairsbathroom and having to use a screwdriver to get ourselves out. Once reported to the Beachwalk resortstaff the response was timely and the staff were very respectful. The walk to the beach is roughly about100 yards, if it is sunny the sand will be really hot so be sure to bring your flip flops. The beach at theend of the path was very nice, you almost feel like it is your own private spot on Lake Michigan.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great home right on the dunes and beach. Perfect for our 3 young boys to run around, play in the sand, and dip their toes in the water. Many sleeping arrangement options and comfy places to sit. We did find the main level bathtub didn’t drain well and one of the bedrooms was missing a doorknob, so my youngest locked himself and my husband in the room on the first night, but that wouldn’t deter us from returning. Overall, it was a special place to spend a few days with our boys.
