When my family booked this house no reviews were made of this property. I checked around and thought I was safe to assume it would be up to the amazing standards as the other house I have rented before from this area of Jamaica beach. A few days before we were to leave not 1 but 2 bad reviews came thru and I called on it. I was reassured that it was not as the reviews showed that I could change places if not clean when we arrived.When I arrived it had not been cleaned.Mold was all over the air unit in the house, Trash still sitting around on &under furniture. What looked like both blood on the floor of the kitchen. One bed did not have clean sheets .The home had two bathrooms. One bathroom as it had things like paint chipping and a few pieces of trash it over all looked clean.The 2nd bathroom was not upstairs with the house but downstairs &was terrible.It had tons of spiderwebs & restroom was not clean. As we were excited that there was a microwave we had to clean it before we could use it. The kitchen table was outside we had no chose but to eat outside we were eaten by bugs to the point we just decided to eat out.I called the rental office and was given a lot of back & forth.I was told I would get a call back which each call just was given the run around. I let them know I had no problem changing to a different location at my cost which did not happen. After 9 was told they could have it cleaned tomorrow we cleaned it ourselves & they came the next morning the best we cou

The property is not what it looks like in the photos. It may have looked like that after they remodeled it, but it no longer does. When we first arrived, that was the first thing we noticed. Simple things such as the floorboards, doors, and walls were dirty. However, my biggest concern was the black mold growing in the water heater closet as well as in the pantry. The black mold in the water heart closet is extensive; on the entire back side of the door and the walls, ceiling, and floor of the closet. in the pantry, it is not visible as much, though I could almost guarantee that there is mold behind those walls.

If you’re looking for a nice, clean, family friendly home to stay in while in Galveston, then do NOT stay here. Immediately upon arrival we noticed the house looking NOTHING like the pictures posted on the ad. Despite that, we were hopeful the inside would look better. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Inside the house was absolutely disgusting. Every corner of the home was caked in dirt, hair and God knows what else. The couches were covered in stains to the point you didn’t even want to sit on them. The house stated it was 3 bedroom/2 full bathrooms, we looked all over inside for the second bathroom and could not find it. Finally we went outside and downstairs to the detached garage and that’s where the second bathroom was located with NO AC, so it was extremely hot in there and covered in cobwebs. Both bathrooms were absolutely filthy. The indoor bathroom had urine and filth caked around the base of the toilet, the bathtub had mold all in it, the privacy cover had been partially ripped off the window, and more dirt and hair were caked in every crevice. I could go on and on about how disgusting this place was but the pictures alone will prove that. When we originally called VRBO we didn’t even want a refund we just wanted to be moved to a different house that was clean, especially considering we had a toddler in the group with us and didn’t want them in a filthy home like that. They wouldn’t move us to another home and we ended up staying in a hotel for the weekend.
