Seems like a new property and location is right at the train station. Seemed to have staff in training (but no identification to state so) and other more experienced staff just lurking around and not helping/assisting

Next to train station and lots of noice and my room had lots of dust everywhere.

The location and property were great! Loved the free breakfast and it was very close to all. The cleaning service was poor, we were forgotten one day despite putting the sign out, and only half the room was cleaned the second day.

Small rooms no ac …

Really clean! Very close to restaurants and public transport! Bit pricey but so is Switzerland. Can’t complain! Really nice hotel

This hotel has the structural potential to be excellent, but the lengthy check-in process and lack of warm hospitality can make guests, especially those from the US, feel uncomfortable. While my encounter with the night receptionist from the Dominican Republic was pleasant, the overall atmosphere lacked warmth. Most likely it’s cultural. The rooms without a view are somewhat depressing, especially considering the price you pay for the location, as they only face other rooms. There was confusion about the checkout time—the tablet in the room indicated 12 noon, but the staff tried to push guests out by 11, even knocking on doors at that time. The lack of emotion from the staff made this experience particularly unpleasant. On a positive note, the breakfast is exceptional

My wife and I stayed at the Essential by Dorint during our time in Interlaken. Located literally at the Interlaken West train station, this is a pretty new hotel that is fashionably designed modern and stylish amenities. The convenience factor is big--the train station is literally out the door, and the main Interlaken Ost station is a five minute train ride or 10 minute bus ride over. Our room was facing an internal courtyard, so we did not have to deal with any train noise. The general area around the hotel also has plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Our room was spacious, clean, and new, with plenty of storage space, well thought out outlets, and a large bathroom as well. The shower itself was a part of the bathroom and not separated by any shower door or curb, but the shower curtain wrapping around the shower area seemed to keep water mostly contained. The toilet seat has no cover, though, which was a bit odd. The bar downstairs was very nice and featured a tasty menu at prices that were elevated (as hotel bars are) but not terribly so. Our room came with a free breakfast that might be the best we've ever had--a full and hearty Swiss style breakfast with all different sorts of proteins, breads, deli meats, spreads, fruits, cereals, and juices. It served as brunch each day. Internet was pretty speedy. And we also got a free local travel card that let us use the bus and select trains in the general area, plus discounts to attractions. Overall: great hotel!

Is a good place to stay in Interlaken !

After a long flight and train ride, it was amazing to stop off the train station and step right into the hotel! Super helpful and pleasant guest services, clean rooms. Breakfast was amazing! I would definitely go back

The room is not spacious for 4 people inspite of the bunk-bed. No real chairs or tables etc., for eating food.

Stinky bed sheets and pillows, feels like they don’t wash them for days. Buffet is average. No iron or fridge in the room. But shower, room itself and location is very nice.

Very well recommended. Very convenient.

Location: Excellent, easy access to tourist attractions and essential facilities. Services:Below average, in need of improvement. Staff: Generally below average, except for Mr. Hussein and Ms. Chiara, who provided great assistance and resolved some issues.

The showers are extremely small and wasn’t sure if the double glass closed shut…we asked front desk questions about evening activities and they said that there was not anything to do after 5:00….not true because we took bus to Interlaken ost, walked across bridge and went to Harder Bahn as well as ate dinner at top. Staff should have known better late afternoon/evening things to do.

The property is a good location new and clean. Staff friendly but rooms were not as advertised. Rooms are dark windows face each other. Like being in a box.

The stay was good but the room services were some times delayed

The Dorint is a very expensive hotel which offers tiny rooms with very few amenities (no mini fridge, not enough for two people to pass each other in the room). If you pay for the parking, you have to get out of your car and go to the front desk to have the garage opened every time you enter. We saw multiple cockroaches. The river facing rooms are adjacent to the train so you hear the train all night. To put it simply, we felt like customers not guests. Every single opportunity to make you pay for something, they’ll take. I was confronted for walking into the breakfast room after breakfast to get a cup of water. But they did offer my the opportunity to buy some water. I mean really, at over $500 a night for a tiny room, was a confrontation and sales pitch necessary. On the good front, Julia at front desk is fantastic, and the breakfast was very nice.

Excellent location, located next Interlaken west station platform (depending where you seating in train sometimes train literally stops infront of hotel). Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff was helpful.
