We enjoyed our stay at the Silver Beach hotel. It’s very conveniently located for walks along Silver Beach and there are several nice restaurants that are in walking distance as is downtown Saint Joseph for shopping. The hotel itself recently reopened after being closed several years during COVID. As such the pool has not been re-opened and there are parts areas of the hotel that are in a various states of construction. Our room was good, except there was no curtain on the shower and the TV was not high definition as we have grown accustomed to. Continental breakfast was OK. I think it has potential to be a much better hotel, but as of now it seems a little rough on the edges. The best part of the stay is the location. The room was very generic, no refrigerator and the tv had the fuzziest picture you’ve seen since the 90s.

We had a nice stay. The only inconvenient is that there is no refrigerator in the room. The pool was under construction, we were not able to use it. Walking distance from restaurants/stores. I definitely recommend staying here.

There is a smell in the hallways. Generally this place needs to employ more personel to clean rooms. Phones in rooms are disconnected. If you need to contact front desk this is not possible. TV do not provide an access to local network. Yes, this place is affordable but needs a lot of work in order to bring it to 3 Star standards.

Everything is half done. Our room had no remote, handles on furniture fallen off, reused room card folder so many times it had a mountain of white out. Painted halfway, construction all half done with no sign of progress. Staff doesn’t even get off their ass of the back room to come and help you at front desk. Phone didn’t work.

We had no issues at the hotel, a great location. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of updating. The beds were clean.

Most disgusting Hotel I've stayed in should be shut down by the health department

The hotel didn't make it through Covid. It was bought and renovated. Our room was excellent. Very comfortable bed and pillows and the flow of the room was good. The common areas still show wear and tear but it's a process and everything seemed clean. The breakfast is meager, if you are used to a continental breakfast you will be disappointed. For the price and location silver beach hotel cannot be beat. I'm so glad they are open again

Location is great for St. Joe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I understand the property was recently (at least partially) updated, but still needs some work. The first room I was assigned had no place to hang clothes and the toilet in the second room backed up, but only once. The free breakfast was meager at best.

Our second year staying here for a summer beach getaway. Close distance to walk to town and a little bit farther is the beach. The room we had was renovated with hardwood floor. It was comfortable and loved the balcony. Staff was very accommodating with room choice. I know the pool is still closed but hopefully it will be open when we go next year. Will be back then

If of all not enough linens in bath no exhaust fan in the ceiling was peeling. The TV did not have a good picture. It was all snowy I’ve never stayed in hotel with the TV. Was that terrible? There is no Lakeview rooms. You can’t even see the lake from up on the fourth floor. The only exception it was close to downtown Saint Joe. I would never stay there again and the breakfast was a joke. It was very sloppy. Nothing was wiped down the fruit looked old, not a good breakfast

It was our honeymoon and we did not have a great experience. The 1st room we went to had a mini fridge that was leaking water into carpet and tv was static image. We called front desk and they changed our room across the hall. Our new room had peeling ceilings, toilet flushing issues, and noisy guests playing cornhole in parking lot until 1am outside our room. Also, we were awakened by a loud crane painting exterior of building. We usually like this hotel due to walkable convenience but probably won’t stay here again in future,

The only thing I was disappointed about was that they didn’t have the pool ready and I found out that they were not going to finish it, but everything else was great

The location of the hotel was great. I was able to walk to all of the main attractions: Silver Beach, shopping State St., Lions Beach, etc. Check in and out was easy. The room was clean and had a small balcony. They provided Dove products, which was nice touch. Overall, it was good value.
