The Refborg Hotel is a very good option to reach Lego House (just cross the road) and has a hourly free bus connection to Legoland and all Billund attractions (airport included). The rooms are big and very confortable. Breakfast is also good and the staff very helpful. Rates are high, even if it's one of the cheapest hotels around.

Great location for Lego House and close to Billund centre, but the hotel is very basic - almost hostel like. Rooms are tiny with no storage space as a family of 3 it was very tight, but if you had a larger family and a couple of big suitcases you would struggle. Staff on reception quite disinterested when we checked in, I even had to ask where we had to go to find our room and when breakfast was as none of this information was volunteered. Overall, In need of improvement, but location good.

Very convenient location, there is a stop for the Shuttle bus just out the front, a supermarket just over the road, and the Lego house and some restaurants only a little further. We had food at the hotel one of the nights and it was really good quality, a little more expensive than what we are used to in the UK, but in line with prices in the region, given the quality it was definitely worth it. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. If we come back to Billund (which is highly likely, we had such a great time) I'd definitely consider this hotel again.

Spent 3 nights with two teens to visit Lego House and Legoland. It’s so conveniently located you can walk to both attractions or take the free shuttle bus. It’s also close to the Teddy Bear museum and local supermarket and cafes. We loved the breakfast, super fresh and delicious! It was an exceptional and unforgettable stay, away from the crowds, quiet, friendly and so danish. We will definitely come back!

Our stay is perfect. The sorrounding is peaceful and quite, which we liked best. The location is perfect, it’s very near to all the family friendly attractions. I personally recommend this hotel.

The communication between myself and the hotel was excellent as I was travelling with three children on my own for the first time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was nice and clean. There was a wide choice for breakfast both hot and continental choices. One concern I had was arriving after reception had closed. The hotel said they would leave a key. They did exactly what they said they would do so reduced the stress of worrying we wouldn't be able to access our room. There were no problems from the beginning of the booking to the checking out process. The hotel are happy to keep valuables like passports if needed. There is shampoo and body wash in the room along with a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. The shampoo/bodywash smells really nice. If you want breakfast teabags maybe bring some of your own. Breakfast tea is available at breakfast but in our room there were speciality teas although you can take some from breakfast time back to your room. I also heard someone at the airport mention they had bought their own teabags for their accommodation. Location is great for Billund itself and Legoland. Its a 20 minute walk to Legoland and 2 minutes to Lego House. The hotel is also a pick up point for the hourly shuttle bus around Billund and to the airport which is free during July and August. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

All staff were very friendly and even went the extra mile to lend and find us adapters to charge our phones when we realised we couldn’t find any at shops nearby. Breakfast was great quality and the dining area was clean and spacious. The beds were so comfy, and the hotel is in the perfect location and has a great vibe. Would definitely recommend!

Super hospitality. I was going to be running late so I called to arrange a late check in. When I finally arrived I was welcomed in and even offered a bite of food despite the kitchen being closed already. Lovely place to stay if you’re in Billund.

The restaurant was amazing and portions very generous. The room was on the smaller side and quite minimalist but had everything needed for a short family trip and the hotel offers an indoor play space and other communal spaces to relax.

I have stayed at the Refborg before, and have found it to be continually comfortable and convenient. Keep in mind that you must be able to use stairs to reach your room, though there is an easier flight of stairs at the back of the property if the curved stairway seems daunting. There is help available if you need assistance with your luggage. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with radiator heat the is self adjustable, windows which open for fresh air, plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, a cozy comforter for each bed, and plenty of pillows. Each room also has a small TV, an electric teapot with a selection of teas, and instant coffee. There is a community room with a refrigerator if you require a place for food items, or more room for relaxing. Room layouts vary depending on what you book. Some have two areas for bedroom and the other for a couch, table and desk area. All have well equipped bathrooms and roomy dresser drawers and an area for hanging coats, and other clothing. I for one appreciate that the rooms are not cluttered up with too much decor. The clean simplicity made my stay restful and easy. Thank you Refborg. I will return!

This was my second stay at the Refborg. The quality of the accommodations and service is still top notch. It wonderfully located in the heart of Billund, next to ABC grocery for convenience of shopping. It is also walkable to The LEGO House, the Billund Bakery, and a handful of dining options. The Refborg itself has a wonderful restaurant, with at least one vegetarian/vegan option. They can also adapt to your needs and diet restrictions. The breakfast, which comes with your stay, is a lovely spread of local breads, rolls, pastries, meats, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereals, eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, hot water, and a selection of milk, including lactose free and soy milk as options. The beds are quite comfortable, the shower is wonderfully hot with great water pressure. The rooms are cozy, some larger than others, with windows that easily open for fresh air. The staff members are all very kind and happy to provide information to make your stay quite comfortable. I am glad to have returned, and will again, next time I am in Billund. Thank you Refborg!
