Even though we only stayed here one night, this was by far one of the most memorable stays I’ve ever had. The hospitality, warmth, and cute little touches in the room were remarkable. The staff was extremely friendly, and the entire place was cozy and wonderful. The two doggie and kitty on the property was icing on the cake.

We hae traveled around the world and stayed at dozens of accomodations, and I think this was our favorite stay we've had. The scenery here is absolutely beautiful, and the Milking Pit (room name) had everything we could have needed and then some. To top it all off, they had a couple of very well behaved playful dogs and a cat that made our morning start off at a high point.
The shower was the best we had in Iceland, and the kitchenette was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area in the future and highly recommend this property to everyone!

I appreciated the large room, with amenities-- the ability to cook and have a dinner and breakfast "in" and the opportunity to enjoy the hot tub after driving, cooking and dinner. Communication was very good and I am sure if we had been able to stay longer- we would have enjoyed the sites close to the lodging and had an even nicer stay. Highly recommend.

Exceeded our expectations. Beautiful setting and true hospitality from the owners Anna and Siggi. A piece of history. Met with fresh baked goods every day. Was very convenient to cook meals in our room. The views are stunning. We highly recommend the Garage.

We loved our stay here and wish it was longer! Homemade chocolate cake and cookies on offer. Board games my 7 year old loved and quirky, fun room (the old haystack). It had everything we needed and the views from the apartment cant be beat!

Location was perfect to go to many area hikes and attractions. Host was friendly and provided a booklet of area history and local places to check out. As a plus, there was a lovely reception area with homemade baked good as well as books, food to share etc. I honestly I wished I had stayed several more nights here. Best stay for us on our round trip of Iceland. Very clean. Beautiful and comfortable suite. Warm welcome. Felt completely safe and comfortable leaving our suite unlocked while we were on the property. We were welcomed to wander the property, interact with the horses, sheep and 2 very friendly well trained dogs. Hot tub in the evenings with a view was so relaxing. The property and the hotel was fantastic. Probably the best and most unique place I've ever stayed. It was gorgeous. In the evening we soaked in the hot tub while in the company of a beautiful waterfall. Would definitely go back.
