Property was well lit, easy to find, safe, well maintained, and secure, with room entrances in interior hallways. Exterior doors locked properly and unlocked with guest key card. Staff was welcoming, courteous, and of good appearance. They were also responsive and gracious with requests we presented. It's an older, budget property that permits pets, so there were stains in the carpeted hallways but absolutely no odors or messes. Texas has an autumn phenomenon known as Cricket Spawning Season, during which businesses with bright lighting can be literally swarming with the insects. Motel 6 did NOT have any such swarm in play, and the staff were proactively sweeping up the occasional dead bug before it could become an issue. I was very impressed with the care and courtesy of the several staff I encountered during our 2 night stay. Our beds were incredibly comfortable, with excellent mattresses. The space was quiet and cooled well. There was some dirtiness just at the AC intake and blower vents, and tried as we could, the shower inevitably leaked water nearest the bathroom door, which didn't easily latch. These were minor, and did not affect our sense of value for the price.

The gentleman that checked me in was so nice, place still doing some minor reno but was clean and smelled clean! Located right beside I20, lots of food around and gas station. Great for a short stay.

I never stay in a Motel 6. But took a chance since the pictures looked like it was Remodel. Super fresh, nice and was great. I would stay again when back in the area.

The stay was ok, i gave ut 3 stars because of the guy who was the housekeeper. He was very nice and helpful. The night shift guy who checked ne in was the rudest person ive had the displeasure of interacting with in 20 years. He has absolute no customer service skills at all. Perhaps he should find another type of job because he doesn't like what he is doing.

Decent property, easy access to highways for travelers. Elevator was sketchy and the place reeked of food that I’m sure was not cooked there.

From the moment I checked in I felt very welcomed by most of the staff and even was able to check-in. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe at the hotel and within the surrounding area! House-keeping was very attentive and always made sure I had what I needed. I had two run-in with a staff member that left a weird/uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. First one: I had come back in the early hours of the morning after a night out. I scanned my card at the lobby doors to allow me in, where I then proceeded to the elevator. As I was waiting the older gentleman working the front desk asked me for my name and room number, I guess my reply for my room# had sounded like a question, he said “I’m not sure, I'm asking you” I said “well yes xxx is my room number” not sure why this mattered as I clearly had a valid key to get through the doors in the first place. The second time with the same older gentleman, I again arrived back in the earlier hours of the morning. I had a guest staying overnight with me and I was told to report all vehicles to the front desk that will be there overnight to prevent possibility of being towed so I did. The same older gentlemen brushed it off and said I didn’t have to report it, then I said “at check-in I was told to do this” all of a sudden his demeanor changed, he took the second vehicle info then thanked me for being responsible… not sure why but just got an odd vibe. Only other issue is was the pool not being the most clear/well kept up on.

The pervasive stench throughout the hallways was the main reason for my poor review. I hope the management addresses these issues soon.

Super excited to see clean and fresh rooms. We made a road trip from California to Miami, FL passed 6 states and have 4 nights reservation from Hotels. com. Texas motel was equally great to the Hotel we stayed in New Mexico and California.

Nice hotel for a one night stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Only issues I had were a pile of dog hair on the floor, which isn’t surprising since this is a pet free hotel and may have just been overlooked. Also, there was some questionable stains on the wall And the adjoining door to the next room. The biggest issue I had were the amount of gnats that were in the room and coming from somewhere in the bathroom.

Upon checking in, I could already smell weed. I didn’t like that for my young daughter. The service was quick and it was an easy check in. The room was small but fine. The walls had mystery yellow and brown splotches. The tv had lots of channels, but most were audio only. The remote wouldn’t let me use the sleep or cc functions. The bathroom was fine. It was an ok stay for our family, just a little dirty and smelly from other guests.
