We stayed at several hotels around Costa Rica-over a nine day span. This was the best. The rooms were comfortable but the layout was puzzling. We wondered what it was, before it was a hotel. Each floor had a center court with table and chairs, the rooms were surrounding the court,on two levels, the second level accessible only by staircase. If you are over 6’6”, watch you head in the bedroom areas. Traits generally in CR, no water glasses, hand towels, wash cloths in the room. One of two elevators was out of service for over a week.

Ok so this place has alot of opportunity to be greater then what it is. First i have to go down start to get ice in the restaurant which closes at a certain time and act wited when you ask for more ice. Secondly if my friends frim my other other hotel comes to visit so we can get ready for the club they wanted to charge them 20mil. I got sick somewhere else and had food and for a fork the guy didn't have any but i seen him give a family forks for their food but he didnt mind give me a butter knife. There was a blood stain on the street that i didnt see. The staff at reception was nice and friendly expect the older man who was rude to my friend who visited. I ask for a place with a windows or balcony and got a wall. I hope they do better . The cleaning was very good and try her best to make sure i was ok.

Our second experience was better. Our standard bedroom upstairs with the airconditioning blowing on the bed had no (extra) blankets.

I would highly recommend Urban Green for anyone that wants to be right in the city center for a reasonable price! The hotel was very comfortable and the room we got (the family suite) was very spacious with more than enough room for our group of 4. I loved how convenient it was to walk to everything in the downtown area. The amenities at the hotel were great too, with the laundry and the breakfast being the standouts. The staff was super helpful and even accommodated our need for a middle of the night check in (since we had a very late arrival). We enjoyed our stay so much that after returning to San Jose (we visited a few other parts of the country before returning to the city for a final night before leaving), we cancelled our other hotel so that we could stay at Urban Green again.

A great choice if you want to discover San Jose. We felt safe and enjoyed the multiple options for dining and coffee in the central area of the city. Staff at reception were very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good.

Excellent hotel for the price and very central to major downtown attractions such as the National Theatre and Jade Museum. The staff are wonderful and incredibly helpful. As it is in a major city and DT Central , I would recommend a taxi or Uber outside after 9pm.

Excellent staff. Really decent looking rooms. My only issue was that I was in a room where there was an adjoining door and the other room could hear all my conversations and complained about the noise when I played a word game on my phone. Needs more insulation.

The staff was very helpful, they gave us a map of all the museums that were in walking distance. The breakfast was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable.

The property was great, beds were very comfortable and the rooms were incredibly quiet. I had the best sleep despite having an indoor room with no direct window out just a window onto an area with windows. Ten staff was helpful in arranging a tour. The location convenient for our needs and I was told by locals that althoughnsafe during the day we should not go out at night. Also the simple rooms are low so. Or great for taller people. I am 5 ft 6 and I could easily touch the ceiling palms up. As I said, I slept great but location was the only negative
