Very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. Main entrance and reception brand new. Room are outdated and smelly and still clean though. Breakfast very basic. Acceptable. Service rather bad.

Very friendly and supporting staff. However the restaurant/breakfast area is not very adopted for winter conditions neither it’s cozy or comforting. Especially the heating lacks. Breakfast is nice but the dinner was not very tasty, even if the presentation was very nice.

The staff was kind and flexible with our late arrival, the food was excellent, and the room was very quiet at night (no second floor to hear footsteps or elevators).

Præstekilde is a nice and excellent value hotel conveniently located just outside the city of Stege. Rooms here run as low as DKK 690,- (@ 100 USD) for a double incl. breakfast (which in our view is excellent value for hotel accommodation on the island). The hotel is beautifully situated at the island’s golf course and with spectacular views towards the countryside. The rooms are simple and would benefit from a little more attention to decorations. However, it’s clean, the beds are comfortable and all with a small flatscreen tv (with only Danish programming). A small in-room refrigerator containing complimentary water is an extra bonus, especially in the hot summer time. The restaurant at Præstekilde is excellent, serving delicious dishes from a Danish/international cuisine. The restaurant is quite correctly appraised as one of the better restaurants on the island. Many will come here for lunch or dinner even when not staying here because of the cuisine. When staying here the restaurant also serves a nice well assorted buffet breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes etc). The staff at Præstekilde is a chapter of it’s own, very attentive, always service minded and approachable. A staff that really makes you feel welcome and aims to do their very best to meet your requests. This is in no mean feat due to the excellent, knowledgeable, personal leadership of the owner and operator couple, Karen and Torben Haurum. Præstekilde is in our view an excellent option :-)

Good place to stay as a hub for discovering Mön. A bit worn-down but clean and good restaurant/breakfast. Close to golf course but was not the purpose of our stay.
