The location was great, food very good especially breakfast. Unbelievable variety of fruits and pastries. Coffee was also good. The spa was the disappointing part of the stay. I had a manicure and pedicure which had to be redone and the waxing was very poor. Whilst apologetic for the service and offers to redo the services, I was surprised on checkout that I had been charged anyway. Also on checkout the bill was not correct. A nice stay but the shine was taken off with spa mishaps.

On arriving we thought it was much too close to the airport, but the traffic to Calvi is fairly limited which is part of its charm. I think we actually heard three planes arrive or leave throughout the week, while having breakfast on the Terrace. On leaving we were able to order the taxi just 75 minutes before the plane was due to leave. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. The staff warm and friendly. The small suite was delightful, well furnished with ample space for both storage and us. We only ate dinner at the restaurant once, it was a well composed French menu, professionally executed and extremely good. The amount of food was too much for us both to have pudding. There is a lovely pool, small gym which was adequate to do 45 minutes before breakfast, and a tennis court and recommended tennis pro. A great private beach with lunch restaurant situated on clean and sandy seaside, no rocks, safe and esay to swim. The location is about 4k from town, but hire a bicycle to allow that extra indulgence! We loved Calvi, our hotel and are sure to go back.
