What a wonderful place to stay; close to the Düsseldorf airport and yet so close to an historical beautiful small town with good restaurants, a bookshop, and the Rhine nearby.

Stayed as part of a trip to the Euros. The hotel was a €18 fare from Dusseldorf Airport, and arrival at hotel was easy and straightforward. I was in a single room that was clean, quiet, nice bathroom…….everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast service was plentiful with a good choice of hot and cold foods. Transport to the centre of Dusseldorf via train was €3.40 with the station approx 5 mins walk from the hotel. Lovely part of the city too that is perfect for a lazy day in this part of Dusseldorf

I was in a single room that was clean, quiet, nice bathroom…….everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast service was plentiful with a good choice of hot and cold foods. Really lovely building. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Nice modern rooms. Good breakfast. The only slight downside is the rooms/corridors aren’t very sound proofed so it was quite noisy at points.

It was very quiet, all well kept, in nature with original historical feel and amazing breakfast. Lots of restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. Would come back.

The atmosphere at the hotel was very relaxed and I can see myself returning here on a future visit to Dusseldorf.

The room was neat and great and breakfast has a lot of variety and it was fulfilling, to say the least. The atmosphere at the hotel was very relaxed and I can see myself returning here on a future visit to Dusseldorf.

The hotel was extremely impressive - a restored old building with nice clean rooms. The only thing that it lacked was a good bar for all guests to congregate, but there was a lounge area in the basement where you could self-serve drinks, but it was very quiet.

I liked the old building, great character. The staff were very helpful.
Location was fantastic, very short walk to local restaurants for dinner. Tram, busses and taxis were also all very close by, mere 2 or 3 minutes from the front door.

What a nice stay! The rooms were very large and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend a trip to Kaiserwerth and a stay at the Mutterhaus.

Great place to stay! Traveled to Dusseldorf on business. Didn't want to stay in a chain hotel. This hotel is certainly unique, and the price to stay there was reasonable. Staff very friendly. Not far from the airport.

This is a lovely, interesting property where guests can have a monastic experience instead of the normal hotel scene. The grounds are beautiful, breakfast was nice and the room was perfect. If you are looking for quiet - get a room in the "Stille Raume" section of the hotel.

I was just there for one night using this an a hotel convenient to the airport. This is not a US style hotel and the rooms are extremely old as is the building. It was still a good stay and the surprise was the neighborhood. The Rhein River is only 5 minutes away and within one block is a major courtyard area where the locals hang out. Several restaurants are in the area and in the spring/summer everyone sits outside enjoying the weather. Very nice. Not the best room set up for business. No desk or work area.
