Nice hotel in a unique setting. Bit dated and needs some updating to reach full potential - same feeling goes for whole of New Lanark. It's a real shame as the whole attraction feels like it's not quite there yet and felt a bit like a ghost town. Lovely walk to waterfalls though. Food was excellent and so we're staff.

Biggest downside was having to wait for 45 mins for my dinner. When it arrived half was missing ( haggis and sauce ) and what was on the plate looked awful , so not such a chicken supreme. I declined to eat the food or have it topped up with the missing parts. The lady sitting next to me also suffered the same fate. To be fair the Manager came to my room with apologies and offer of a sweet instead. Also declined as I had lost my appetite by then. Took the free drink offered at the bar.

Friendly welcome; allocated a disabled room (? not sure why) great space but dislike wet rooms; king size bed but mattress far too soft; breakfast very disappointing - no vegetarian sausages, no smoked salmon as delivery had not come so eggs it was and had to ask for orange juice as not on table. Hotel itself was bueatifull. Pool facilities lovely. When we had dinner the items on the menu they didnt have. Wasnt asked for ages if we wanted a drink costomer service at dinner poor untill a young girl had to try sort it out.

The views from our room was stunning, everything was perfect. It's spacious and classy and has everything you need. It's a beautiful hotel with the added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and steam room. Will definitely return.

Love staying here - fabulous location, excellent breakfast, lovely leisure facilities, clean and spacious rooms. There has definitely been some staff training - a noticeable improvement this visit in customer relations. The bar is a bit dark, dingy and tired.

Dining was very disappointing,and not as described in the menu.Haggis was missing from the chicken dish, the sticky toffee puding was cold and stodgy. used plates were not removed from the table. No fruit available for breakfast.

Stunning location, beautiful hotel, great facilities, fantastic breakfast. Nice gym & leisure facilities. Very polite staff nothing too much trouble.
