Very small room. Noise from the street all night. If you want to sleep at night don't stay there. Also parking is limited and expensive.

Great location! Loved being able to walk for a morning latte in the historic central town. Hotel rooms in front were a bit loud perhaps but it was a Saturday night and there were tons of people out until about 11:00 pm, then it was quiet. Did not bother us at all. Hotel feels historic; breakfast was great! Staff professional and helpful. Loved best sitting out front on comfy chairs, watching people go by and having a beer / glass of wine. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful old building in the walking district of Nuremberg! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the owner is helpful and accomodating. Loved it and will return!

The hotel was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a perfect location for us - close to the station and Nuremberg centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A wonderful boutique hotel in a historic property in the middle of the old city. Easy walk to all major attractions and close to the main station.

This is a wonderful historic boutique hotel and the owner and staff were friendly and gracious. We look forward to staying there again in the future. highly recommended!

The hotel staff was friendly and so helpful. The room was delightful, clean and quiet. The breakfast was also great!!! We came in on the train and walked to the hotel which was very close to the train station. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and a very walkable city.

Staff was friendly but overly worried about me telling them they needed to take laundry facilities off their description as they only have a laundry service. Breakfast was acceptable but not anything to count on - might be better to skip & pay for elsewhere. Convenient to get to & staff very helpful with directions to see sights.

I picked this hotel b/c it was close to the train station and in old city Nuremberg. I thought it would be neat to stay in an older hotel in that area. Bad idea to get a hotel with no AC during a European heatwave. Otherwise, the room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful with information on the local area. The location was also very good. I was told we were staying in a part of the hotel that had not been renovated yet, (possibly because we wanted two separate beds) so I don't know if other floors that have been renovated have AC or not. If you're not visiting during a hot season, everything else about this hotel is perfectly fine.

Very close to station and easy to find. Good location, easy to access to main historic area ( church, etc) Hotel with long history and good maintenance and cozy. Kind front desk. Morning buffet - need variety of food.

This hotel is ideal to walk city center. It is well maintained with friendly staff. Frau Steffen at reception was a delight and very helpful with my limited German; most staff also spoke English. The Frau running the Breakfast Area made special coffee and pastry exception for me -- always with a smile. The interior is early 1900’s. I sensed history on the grand old stairs viewing the paintings, tapestries and antique furniture. The room was adequate with Xlarge safe, small frig and updated “clean” bath. I was on an upper floor facing the city walking area with a nice view. If you wish open windows, you will hear city sounds – which I enjoyed -- except for a few around 3AM. For quiet, request a room in the rear area. I scored everything a 5 except comfort and condition. Condition 4 because it is an older building with all the aspects expected in a facility at least 100 years old and surviving a WWII bombing campaign -- yet maintained with the sense of German Efficiency. I scored comfort 4 because, compared to newer facilities, this historic facility has less modern comfort conveniences; a small quaint elevator, on street parking vs garage, slightly smaller rooms and although clean, the previous standard tiny European shower. Reserve a parking space in advance as limited spaces are in an adjoining alley. To summarize; I will stay at Hotel Deutscher Kaiser on my next visit. Thank you Frau Steffen and the staff.
