Loved my stay at Riad El Yacout. The riad is beautiful and historic. The staff was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. The location is perfect for exploring Fes. I highly recommend a stay here!
My only complaint was there was a cockroach creeping around my room. I know it's an old building in an old city, so not much you can do about that, but I didn't love it haha.

Wonderful staff including host Marcos, and Abdou, Zyiad, and Yahya. They make sure your needs are met. The riad itself is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. Stepping inside is like entering a book. If you don't feel like adventuring for meals, the food is excellent.

We spend 2 nights in this splendid and beautifully maintained Riad. The staff are helpful and friendly; they arranged a guide to show us around Fes. We also had a Hammam and massage in their spa, which was lovely.
Food is good and they have a bar, so you can get a beer or glass of wine. I would stay here again

Do not be seduced by this hotel’s claims to fame - that Bono stayed here once. He did but that was almost 15 years ago. This place today isn’t what it was then. We have been traveling across Morocco for ten days now and our stay at Riad Yacout left us deeply disappointed. Nowhere did we stay in all of Morocco that required such immediate attention as this Riad. Our room was in dire need of attention - not to mention the noise from the tour group diners that kept us awake.
Our toilet didn’t work and the bathtub was corroded and the tiling were moldy ( pictures attached)
The staff was hovering and nosy and constantly in our face with questions like “where do you go?” “What did you buy?” “How much did you pay?”we were so disappointed and saddened at the service, which was nothing in line with the reviews that we couldn’t wait to leave the Riad.

Nowhere did we stay in all of Morocco that required such immediate attention as this Riad. The staff was wonderful but our check-in was not great as the first room did not have a functioning AC. We had to switch rooms a couple of times, then got a free upgrade.

The Riad El Yacout is a larger scale Riad very centrally located to the Medina and Blue Gate. The property is well appointed. The rooms are nice and mostly modern but lack small touches such as coffee service, kettle, safe and adequate shelving. The breakfast was decent. The highlight of the Riad El Yacout is the personnel. All staff were gracious and very helpful whether arranging transport, arranging knowledgeable guides for touring around the Medina or hauling heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs. Particular kudos to Marcos and Khadijah who went above and beyond to help us. Overall, our stay at Riad El Yacout was very pleasant and we would return.

The rooms are nice and mostly modern but lack small touches such as coffee service, kettle, safe and adequate shelving. The breakfast was decent. The highlight of the Riad El Yacout is the personnel. I’m so happy I chose to stay in this magnificent place. I have traveled around the world and this place is breathtaking. It’s so unique! The staff is very friendly and they make you feel very welcome since the moment you walk in the door. They greet you with a delicious hot tea. The food was delicious and breakfast setting was perfect. I was feeling a little sick from a day before and the hotel made me some magical tea and I felt better within minutes they even offered to send somebody to get me medications if needed. The location was walking distance to blue gate Medina. Also very close to train station as well go the tombs. Hotel was clean and smelled amazing. I will go back to visit soon! Thank you all for your lovely hospitality. This place feels like HOME!

Nice place, great hostesses and attendance. Hot water in our room takes about 10 min to come. No elevator, be prepared to go up stairs, but they will bring your luggage’s to your room. Nice location in the center of Medina.

AMAZING!!! The Riad was beautiful. The manage Abdul upgraded our room without requesting. The room was stunning!!! The service all of the staff provided was top class, especially from Marcos who was such a nice guy! The breakfast was very nice. Can only say good things about this Riad and would definitely go back! 100% recommendation to all. Thank you Riad El Yacout and team for a perfect stay!

While the Riad, it's breakfasts and the location were fantastic the staff was very sketchy, we asked them to book a car service to Chefchouan for us on our last day, and the man who was supposed to be the concierge took $250 in cash and disappeared. No ride showed up and they claimed something had happened to the driver but it was clear from the drama that that wasn't at all the case. Later we demanded our money from the hotel, not sure if they were robbed by their own employee and were able to get another hotel to get us a ride for half the price. It really put a damper on our entire experience because we expected the staff to be honest and they weren't we are pretty sure they cheated a lot of people by overcharging etc.

We did not realize it was Ramadan when we planned our trip to Morocco. Despite this, we had a grand time. We were in Fez after a 3-day private tour from Marrakech. We were the only guests and they upgraded us to the master suite which was total royalty. The only drawback- we go thru 37 or 38 steps each way! But it was well worth it. The staff was very nice and all smiles. We really love our stay!!!

The property is beautiful with its intricate mosaic floors and walls and carved details. The breakfast is a typical Moroccan breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, orange juice, coffee).

Unfortunately the room we received was smelling terribly chlorid at the level that we got headaches in the morning, in addition it was really cold, heating was not working properly as well as hair dryer... Next day they changed the room (however we still needed to insist on this!). The second room was better however the internet was not working. Regarding the service, in general, the staff is very friendly, welcoming and polite!

Rad El Yacout is one of the best Riads in the area! Omar, Marcos, and the rest of their staff will treat you like family. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits upon arrival making the check in process much less stressful. I had some great talks and exchanges with Omar and Marcos and learned a lot about the culture, customs, and sights of Fez. On our last night we were worried about getting a taxi for the next morning since our flight was very early. They went out of their way to find a driver. They really go above and beyond here to make you feel welcome, relaxed, and at home!

We really liked the pool but deep so might be an issue with children.
Overall riad is a bit tired. In the process of adding on new rooms but existing needs a spruce up too.

Marco, who seemed to be in charge of many things, went utterly out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Every riad we stayed at after this one fell short in some way because of the very high standard these lovely people set.

Wonderful location! The lobby and pool area is beautiful, the breakfast is amazing and the staff is helpful and nice but the rooms are disappointing, with small bathroom and weird smell...
