I like the fact that Santa Cruz is a real city where local people live and work and go to school, and not only for tourists; a good mix. I wanted to iron a shirt and was surprised to learn that they did not have a single iron anywhere in the hotel.

As advertised, the 8th floor apartment was clean and spacious with an incredible view from the large windows and the corner balcony. The four of us slept well in the queen bed and 2 single beds that we requested. The staff was especially helpful in assisting us with checking-in later than we had anticipated.

Part of our stay I was on my own (husband in hospital) and I felt very comfortable and safe here. Everyone very friendly. Although furniture was very tired and on the small side it was very clean and the water always very hot. The fan on the ceiling hardly made a change as not much air gets into the room, an air conditioning unit would be perfect. But, for the price we paid we couldn’t really complain.

Wifi not working. Window unusable as there was a disgusting canvas shade a few inches outside, which stank of smoke so strongly it filled the room. Hence zero ventilation and no aircon. Also no access to terrace as claimed. No fire safety information in the room. Very dodgy electrics, eg. Appliances requiring an earth fitted to two-pole sockets, RCDs rated at 220v rather than 230v. I know it's cheap, but just don't bother

This is a very simple hotel! However it is very good value for money. The location is superb. But it is very noisy, with a lot of street noise.....no double-glazing on the windows. The TV didn’t work, breakfast was VERY basic. But the personnel were super kind and friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

Conveniently located for walking to shops in the beautiful Tenerife capital. Hotel needs refurbishing. Everything worked ok. We stayed in January when temperature only 21’C but still found the room very hot despite having the window open. There was only a ceIling fan which was ineffective Temperature in Summer can get to 40’C so A/C essential. Bed was very hard. No toiletries- bring own. Wi-fi was useless even on roof terrace 100 m from a mobile phone tower. Download was 0.2 Mb and basically did not work. Staff friendly. Breakfast included was adequate but are plenty nearby cafes including a smart McDonalds

We were on the 5th floor and there was a lot of street noise that kept us up most of the night. Beds were not comfortable. No parking. No shampoo in the shower or cream rinse. Just a crummy place!!

I only booked Atlantico when I arrived in Santa Cruz, and it was the only hotel available in the centre. Although not 4 star, the hotel was very good for the modest price. The room was a good size, the breakfast, the open area on the 6th floor, and the wifi were all good. The location couldn't be better.

Paper thin walls, no internet in room, no toiletries supplied. Nice area in centre of town, and breakfast on the roof terrace was good. Credit card machine didn't accept foreign (non-Euro) cards, had to pay in cash. Staff were friendly though.

Rooftop breakfast was excellent and very pleasant space. Busy,busy street but pedestrian only. Too much smoking everywhere.... TV tiny and in Spanish only.

Despite the perfect location of the hotel (in the main shopping street), I would advise the management to improve the service (staff friendliness-spoken languages) and the quality of the facilities: everything is old and needs a renewal; the cleanliness of the room and common areas should need a better follow up (at my arrival there were still hair on the bathroom's floor). On the other hand, the breakfast room on the top floor is a "not to miss" point: nice view, sunny and a good place for relaxing.

Nice hotel, clean and well decorated room and outside it. Staff were polite, helpful and spoke English. Roof top where breakfast is served has a good view. Hotel on a shopping street, restaurants, ferry, sightseeing bus point very close. €20 by taxi from the hotel to the South Airport. What l didn't like: No Wi-fi in rooms. The bed was very uncomfortable with an over used mattress. Wire or Springs sticking out and into the body. Felt back pain from 3 days of sleeping on it. I even had to turn the mattress over. It made no difference. I dreaded going to bed. Noise till very late from shopping street comes into the room.
