Nice environment and easy to visit if you like quiet. The Kolonie van weldadigheid, is an interesting part of history. Besides this not much to see.
Breakfast is basic, but okay.

Super peaceful, rural location. Looks great for biking and hiking, though for us was just an overnight stop. Unusual conversion of a hospital into hotel. Interesting architecture, amazing LARGE windows. Very friendly and helpful service. No restaurants particularly nearby but nice to eat at the hotel and great breakfast included.

We stayed only one night and continued with our next destination the following day. We could easily have stayed another day at this place. It’s far away from noise and busy traffic. The room we had was spacious, well planned and very clean. Much better in reality compared to pictures on the internet. I would suggest that while you are there, try to eat at the restaurant. We had dinner when we arrived late. The personal are very accomodating and helpful. Dinner and dessert was very good. I could easily come back here for a weekend trip or recommend this place to others.

İt was great hotel and restuarant very nice area 30 minutes to groningen ( by car) and very friendly staff ( espaically special thanks to Octo, he was very helpfull ) I highly recommended..

A diamond in the rough, out in the middle of no where. Superb service and food. We found what we needed. The little town has a history of having several prisons, dating way back. Incredible history to be found. Unfortunately non of it in English, only dutch. You have to read up about it on line.
