The Monteleone is exactly as it appears on line. Our room was so beautiful and bright. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We were offered an early check in (at a price) which we were happy to accept. We were arriving at 9 from our cruise and check in was 4. Being seniors, we were delighted to accept the offer and our room was available at 11 o’clock. The roof top pool was glorious with a bar and the restaurant in the hotel offers a delicious breakfast and dinner. Don’t forget the Carousel bar for which it’s known. The hotel is centrally located to Bourbon St., Jackson Square and all the beauty of New Orleans.

Bathroom was in need of repairs and updates. Cracked and missing caulk and mortar. There were hand drawn X marks written in permanent marker on 10 of the floor tiles. I can’t imagine why. 1/4 of the tiles were broken. Grout was missing and broken on the floor tiles and shower and tub. I didn’t use the tub because the jets were dirty and needed a deep clean. There was another guests earring on the bathroom counter. The sofa was stained and needed to be deep cleaned. The comforter was piled quite badly. We stayed in room 380 it was a suite. On the 3rd day they had a fire alarm drill go off at 9:00 and it went on for 30 minutes. So many guests were upset and yelling at the staff when we got downstairs. I would not recommend staying in this area of the French quarter. It was very convenient to canal street, which was great, but it felt dangerous at night. There were homeless people right outside and people walking around screaming. This happened every night. We stayed 5 nights. I would stay in the French quarter again, but further down royal street felt a lot safer.

From the moment we arrived, we were amazed at how beautiful this hotel is. Everything is first class with style. Great location, food, bar, and entertainment.

Great stay!

The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean. It is within walking distance to everything in the French quarter so once we dropped the car off to be parked in the parking garage didnt need it til we left. The spa and the carousel bar were awesome and definitely worth checking out. We never did eat at the restaurant in the hotel but we only heard good things about it. The thing that makes this hotel Amazing is the staff. Everyone, and i mean every single person that works there that we talked to, is So polite and helpful. They made us feel welcome and like they actually cared how we felt, which is so rare nowadays. My wife and I both agree we would definitely stay here again and it is 100% because of the staff. If we could give this place more stars we would have.

Wish parking wasn’t so expensive, big bathroom but room was small.

Fabulous. We loved the Carousel Bar (go in the early afternoon, or it's too crowded to get a seat.) The dinner at the special dining room "Le Petit Chef" was fun!

Spouse is disabled and they met us with a wheelchair in the hotel parking garage and took her inside. This is really one of the best stays we have had anywhere in NO in 40 years.

Staff absolutely amazing ans super helpful. I had two rooms that needed upgrade though.

Very central location - close enough to all the action without hearing it while you sleep. The hotel room was clean and the staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend.

The Monteleone is a beautiful piece of New Orleans history. The Carousel bar has always been a favorite of mine in nola and staying at the Monteleone is one of the best memories of this colorful city. The room service is delicious as well, try the truffle fries and the creme brule!

Love it all but room service food was terrible…. Just needed to eat before a tour. Should have gone to the many fabulous food places all over the French Quarter

It was great as usual!

Was a nice hotel in a great location. Perfect distance from everything we wanted to do. Was close to literally a plethora of great restaurants and shopping. Was very convenient to Bourbon st. Tons of eclectic shopping as well as the standard tourist type shopping. The hotel itself had a killer old world feel to it ant the staff was always super friendly and accommodating. Just a great overall experience for our first but not last visit to New Orleans. We will definitely stay here again.
