Continues to require updates to the facility. Nightly stay should be less expensive.

Totally misleading, rundown and ridiculously priced for those reasons. Wouldn’t stay again even if it was half the price.

Our stay was very good. We had a very nice view of the Tobermory Harbour. And the customer service was excellent.

Slowly updating property, half hotel is closed, but our room was clean and updated. Nice view from balcony. Texted manager upon arrival, he met us within a few minutes with keys. If you get a good price on the days you need, don’t be afraid to book.

Had a great day at the property. It was under renovations and looking forward to seeing what’s done when return on our next visit. I would recommend this place.

Hotel under renovation. Bare bones room. ,No where to hang clothes &,no dresser. No chairs, so must sit on bed to watch tv. .Bathtub filthy. Owner said it was a used tub but new to his motel..The deadbolt had been removed from the door. Noting the condition of the door we assume it was also used.. Biggest surprise was a note in the bathroom stating "due to work on the water supply, there is a possibility of compromised water. The water in our washroom is not drinkable" The Owner was only available by text. At the outrageous fee of $520.00 plus tax for 2 nights, we really were dissapointed.

They are relying on websites for payment which is a mistake. I asked how to pay when I meet the agent with the keys. I was catching an early ferry and they panicked when I did not follow a link at 9:40pm (I went to bed 20 minutes earlier) but then used a web link at 6:40am to pay which they don't seem to admit happened. OK place but being hassled over their weak payment system leaves a bad taste.Don't cheap out on things like on site staff.

Room was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The actual hotel is under renovation. Despite the construction it was quiet. Only rooms above ground were available for rental and they are all facing the harbour, some have better views than others due to some mature trees. Check in was slightly confusing cause there was no one in the office, but we called the number and we were swiftly able to get a response. The proximity to the harbour and all restaurants is a short walk. All walking distance.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. We did not receive an email for the check in code but I sent them a text and I received the code 1hr before the 3pm check in time. All rooms are located in the 2nd floor and the first floor is still under renovation so dont expect too much in terms of property amenities etc. The property is in excellent location. Its in a quite location but only 2 blocks away from the main area. The beach is only a block away.

The upper rooms were freshly renovated, including the one we stayed in which was nice. There was no office, just a phone number to call to check in, and someone came with a key to the room area. The room door had a small lunch buttons handle lock, and no deadbolt. Not very secure. There was a poor seal on the door, with light coming in all around it. The patio door to the balcony had a nice view, but the curtains were not quite big enough to cover it without leaving a gap. The bathroom had an incredible strong smell of urine. There was a boil water advisory posted due to ongoing construction.

Just for location we chose this hotel, Lovely balcony but room was very very small for two queen beds to fit in (beds were not even queen size). Bathroom was not clean. No coffee machine. Lady was really nice who was in charge at that time.

This motel is still under renovation, some rooms equipments incompleted. We were told that all the facilities would be completed in next year. For no Reception and no staff at the site, we should call the staff how to get our room. Luckily, we met the jacitor Benjamin. He is a very good helper, helped us to find our room and changed the better one for us because the first one was missing some equipments. He is a nice guy, great helper. Thank you very much for all his help during our stayed there 4 days. We loved the environment, can see the Ferry Dock from our balcony, convenient to Downtown Tobermory, sight seeing places..... We'll go there again next year when they all finish the renovation. Tina

Only upstairs rooms were available during summer - appreciated manager carting main luggage. After 3 calls and 3 visits, we still did not have appropriate towels. Two visits to set up TV with very limited channels. The room was comfortable, but renovations did not seem complete. This hotel was not close to any town attractions. We would not stay here again.

Check in was delayed till 7:30, they said the guy that cleaned was sick but lied, we met him and he said he quit that day. They offered $100 credit for the late check in but never gave it to us and never responded to our follow up. The place is under construction, no one works on site and the rooms do not resemble the pictures.

We were very happy with the accomodations. Our room was very new and clean, pillows and bed was comfy. We had an amazing view of Georgian Bay from our room. The a/c was loud, but it was very hot outside…we were glad to have a/c!! We walked every day to town. We would come back.

We are from USA and use walkers. In special requests, we asked for shower only if possible and 1st floor if no elevator. We arrived after 5 and office was locked. I was forced to spend $15 to read a text message on how to open lockbox to get the keys. Our room was on second floor. It was a painful experience trying to drag the suitcase up the steps. The last step was slightly lower than the passageway and was a trip hazard. Inside the room there was only one washcloth, one hand towel, no antislip tub mat or floor mat for wet feet stepping out of tub. The body soap dispenser was so high, I couldn’t reach it. No curtain in bathroom so any peeping Tom could watch us bathe or use the toilet. No towel rack and no hook on the door to hang up clothes to be worn the next day. No Kleenex. No toilet paper on holder but I found an open one under sink. On the balcony, the slats under the railing had several nails exposed. A child could be severely injured if they leaned against it. For our convenience, there was a microwave and mini fridge but no coffee pot. If there were internet, no info for password was found. We were traveling with my brother-in-law and wife. We had booked both rooms and they wanted to pay for theirs. As we were leaving, we ran across an employee and asked if there were a pass way to get the the front of the building. Bay Street is a one way road and it’s a very long block to get to the front. He called the office and said we could pay for both and work out the payba

During my visit building is going under renovation there is no staff onsite the only good thing is bed is neat and clean.

Disappointing! checked in and not told that there was a water advisory. only aware by a note on bathroom door. No drinking water bottles provided during the 2 night stay. Did not feel safe/comfortable to even have girls, aged 7 & 9 to shower. Room rented less than 24 hrs before check in so if we would have been aware of the water advisory, we would not have booked. (note, non refundable booking, but the place was not as advertised) Gaps around the door, no dead bolt for security on room. Had to call person who appeared to be in charge and request the Wifi password. Lights in room only operated on batteries, batteries dead. Asked for batteries, but not provided. Building seemed under repair / renovations but there should still be a level of customer service to ensure renters at least comfortable during their stay! Sorry but would not recommend, nor stay there again.

Old and run down, room was NOT clean, mold along bath tub - two small'ish beds for 4 people. I would not recommend staying here.

I liked lake view room.Property is nice and centre of the Tobermory town. One thing I did not like is that air conditioner sounds a lot. Need to replace with the silent air conditioner.

It was a good experience staying at the Inn.

The best part is the staff. Staff is friendly and came to help when needed. I’d appreciate better towels after a shower and a less noisy air conditioning unit during sleep. I had the impression by the pics on the website the INN had a kitchen. It does not have a kitchen. Please update the website.

Renovated, No coffee provided. I made a mistake on booking dates and requested they be revised however management failed to communicate with hotels.com regarding the mistake so we were forced to stay the duration.

The room itself was decent and clean, but there were several issues with the overall experience. To begin with, there is no front desk clerk. Instead there are lock boxes with the keys in them. Guests are supposed to receive an email with the code to their lock box, but I didn’t receive the email prior to arrival. It made for a disconcerting experience. The whole lockbox arrangement is buried in the hotel information posted online, and I would have chosen another hotel if I had read the instructions more closely. Secondly, the hotel is undergoing major renovation, and only a few rooms are open for business. It gives off a creepy vibe being in a big, older hotel with only a few other guests. Thirdly, the hotel is about 1 km from the Tobermory business district, which means having to drive and pay the parking fees there. Maybe in a year or two, the hotel will be fully renovated, with a properly staffed reception, but as things stand I wouldn’t stay there again, especially considering the price.

Clean and quite place. We like it.

The property was dirty, there were mosquitoes everywhere inside the rooms, washrooms. No wifi provided at the rooms, ask service manager several times, only excuses. The towels provided were cheap quality, full of rugs. Beds were full of dust. Stayed 2 days, nobody cleaned room or changed bedsheets. The main area is away from property, need vehicle to go to city and places to visit.
