Great little family run hotel one block off the main drag within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Furnishings are a tad dated but everything was clean and the location and price were great. Super nice staff.

Nice experience; greeted with a friendly welcome. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Although there were other guests, it was very quiet. The property is walking distance to restaurants and community activities. I will be back!!

It’s an older facility so the place reflects that. The location is good with easy walking to nearby restaurants. They do offer free yogurt, instant oatmeal and fruit along with coffee in the morning. It would be nice to have in room coffee makers. The bed was comfortable.

“Door County quaint.” Older property in a great location. Friendly service. Plenty of parking. Very small bathroom. Steps to second floor were not easily accessible.

We had a wonderful get away at the Village Green Lodge! Mike was so helpful he even carried our luggage up to our room! It was so peaceful and relaxing! Will for sure stay there again!

From the lovely heated pool, to the wonderful conversations and s'mores round the firepit, my experience with The Village Green Lodge was nothing but positive. The rooms were clean with charming decor. The location was ideal, centralized about 10 minutes (according to GPS) from just about everything we wanted to visit. Closer still (a block) from the most beautiful views one could hope to see. All around, a magical trip.

Enjoyed the roominess of the two bedroom, two bath with kitchen & living room apartment. I was very impressed that the bathrooms were exceptionally clean with no bacterial growth around the sink drains. The owner, manager Mike, was a delight being approachable, informative and knowledgeable about the area. The property is quiet, nestled up to a wooded area with flowers & seating areas in the front courtyard. We didn’t use the pool, but liked its private location. The bay and downtown were a very short walk around the corner from the driveway. A very good location to explore Peninsula State Park from, we will stay here again if in door county.

It was very clean but dated. It was very quiet and secluded even though it was 1/2 block off the main street. Rooms did not have a phone so if you wanted the front desk it was calling on your cell phone. They did not give you a directory for the area like most hotels do. We asked for a table outside our door like others had and we never got one.

Even though it’s a motel, Mike the owner and his staff made it feel like a bed and breakfast experience.

This really a cozy get away place. We were only there for two nights and felt very welcome. Unfortunately the rain hampered our plans to walk around the area and use the pool
