Booked 2 nights at Hotel Central Beach 9, Makarska mainly based on the location and sea views shown online. The hotel is right opposite the beach however, what wasn’t known was that the view is of a huge green inflatable assault course in the sea. The location is ideal for young families which was not what we were looking for, we would have preferred somewhere less commercial. The hotel itself is clean, modern and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods to chose from. Internet was not great and the smart tv did not work which was reported but not sorted. Parking was reserved at €14 a night which in my view should have been included. The marina is a short walk from the hotel with a range of nice restaurants and bars to chose from. Overall a nice hotel but the views are not as advertised.

Amazing staff, they went above and beyond to help us with everything, thank you. The hotel is in a perfect location. It is clean and beautifully renovated. It’s air conditioned so very comfortable even in hot weather. Comfortable beds. Breakfast is decent. Would stay there again.

When arrived the safe didn't work, it was a side Seaview not Seaview. The parking is not on premises but 300 meters away, not a garage. The safe would be replaced within a few days, didn't happen the whole 12 days. Curtains dropped from the rail and we had to contact reception for 3 days before it was fixed. Shower is full of water as no door to prevent water to come all over the bathroom. I travel a lot, gold with Hotels, platinum with IHG. This hotel cost me more than InterContinental, but Holiday Inn Express is even better. The best is the location, that is super. I have been multiple times in Makarska, but cannot recommend this one. Also reception was not covered all the tine

The hotel is okay. But it is placed horrible. It’s in the most noisy neighborhood facing one of the busiest beaches and promenade. Very modern decor to the point that it didn’t have a shower screen at all which meant that the entire bathroom was left swimming after each shower. The breakfast was not good. In times with Covid-19 the breakfast was placed in a way too small room. There weren’t a hand sanitizer anywhere near the buffet. The staff had no knowledge of the area. The safe in our room was not working, and although this was pointed out on the first day and we were promised that it would be fixed, nothing happened before we left after 5 days. Room was otherwise fine though, with a good bed and efficient A/C. Minibar was empty but at least that way we had a fridge for our own beverages. :) Parking seems hopeless. Cleaning was excellent and was also by far the most welcoming staff at the hotel..

One of the better surprises. Used to regular oldness from the hotel staff elsewhere in Croatia, the receptionist here was full of smiles and extremely helpful. So were the other staff. A bit kitchy living room furniture design is completely forgotten if you get one of the apartments overlooking the beach. They have lovely terraces, ideal for drinking wine and people watching.

Excellent location in Makarska (10 meters from the beach, in the center of all possible activities) with a reasonable price. The hotel feels new and the rooms are very clean (everyday very careful cleaning). The staff is kindful and always wants to help. Breakfast is fine but could be improved just by varying food. The coffee machine could be upgraded as well.

Modern hotel with all mod cons, shower room with toilet and 2nd separate toilet. Double bedroom and v.good sofa bed for kids right in front of large Netflix enabled TV👍. Ideal for the beach and restaurants. Good breakfast and onsite parking, first come first served basis, public car park available alongside. We stayed the last week of the season so hotel restaurant was closed for lunch/dinner but not a problem though as plenty of places to eat nearby. Would recommend for families or couples.
