Uncover the pinnacle of modern eco-living in this detached Eco House, conveniently situated between Whitely and Fareham and nestled along a serene country lane with quick access to the M27. Completed in 2024, Oakmere is a bespoke design for a near-zero energy house. A PV system is integrated into the slate roof and generates enough electricity to cover most of the annual electricity used. A solar hot water system helps to heat the domestic hot water. A full forced ventilation system with heat recovery is fitted to give very good air quality.
Enjoying an open plan living space where a floor-to-ceiling window and bi-fold doors lead to the outdoors, bringing in the afternoon and evening sun, and establish a seamless connection with the lush surroundings. A second reception room provides space for quiet reading or relaxation, while a separate dining room, complete with a dedicated workspace, caters to more formal dining. Whiteley has a host of amenities from shopping to dining and is just a short drive away. With close access to the M27, historic Portsmouth harbour with its cosmopolitan feel and extensive shopping is just a 20-minute drive. With designer outlets, as well as waterside dining, extensive venues for entertainment, museums, galleries and city tours by foot or boat. Visit the Spinnaker Tower for the fabulous views, then the Olde Towne, Gunwharf Quays and the dockyard where you can visit HMS Victory and HMS Warrior. You can also take a ferry across to the Isle of Wight for a great day out!
