Welcome to Hilltop Paradise, a cozy and comfortable home centrally located to many wonderful Sierra Nevada activities. The home sits just a 2 minute drive to downtown Oakhurst, making grocery shopping, coffee runs, and restaurant trips a breeze! The home is also just 8 miles from the shores of Bass Lake, and 17 miles to the south entrance of Yosemite National Park!

Bedding/Bath Configuration is as follows:
Main Level (home is all on 1 level!):
Master bedroom with en suite bathroom- 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom #2- 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom #3- 2 Twin Beds (sleeps 2)
Bathroom #2 is located in a common area
Rental Agreement- Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!
One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via email and text message. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!
Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.
The home is equipped with a central heat and AC system, so you should stay comfortable no matter the season!
The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.
Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes in our area.
*Fireplace/Firepits- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is not permitted at this property. There is an outdoor propane firepit which you can use.
Please note this property is nestled in the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, offering a serene escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine environment means that you may occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, and cobwebs. We take every precaution, including regularly scheduled professional pest control to minimize these occurrences, but they are a natural part of the mountain experience and may get past our defenses from time to time . If you do notice any of this during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort.
There is enough parking for up to 4 cars at this property. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!
Early check ins are often difficult for our team to accommodate. If you would like to check in early, please reach out to us after 2PM on the day of your arrival so we can check with our team. If you need guaranteed early check in, we recommend booking the night before your arrival so that you may check in as early as you wish. For checkout, most vacation homes have a 10AM check out in our area. We provide an 11AM checkout, and unfortunately can rarely offer a later checkout.
Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 6 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total.
There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home. There are of course no cameras inside the home, and no camera faces the hot tub.
California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.
No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.
Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!
Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.
Simple Checkout Instructions-
1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
2. Please do not do any laundry, it's all professionally serviced off-site.
3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful but not necessary.
4. Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located out by the parking! It really helps us keep the critters away!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
P.S. Don't forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving!
