The Moose Horn Lodge and The Trout House
Both are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean cedar log homes in Montana’s majestic Paradise Valley! We are on the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park (Gardner entrance is 35 miles South) and just a short drive south of historic downtown Livingston, Montana. The homes boast a large well-manicured lawn with mature trees, fantastic views of Emigrant Peak (el. 10,926 feet!), and access to Yellowstone River and its exceptional fishing and abundant recreation opportunities.
The Moose Horn Lodge at Paradise Ranch Retreat features welcoming Western decor throughout 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious, open living and dining area. An inviting gas fireplace and a large smart TV, make this a comfortable retreat for six. The proud Montana native owners live in nearby Bozeman and regularly update household items including comfy cozy bedding, cookware, linens, and towels.
In the living area, you can snuggle up on the inviting couch and two oversized recliners, next to the gas fireplace and enjoy the breathtaking view of Emigrant Peak. Pass the time bird and wildlife watching with the binoculars! Or, enjoy YouTube TV or your favorite streaming service on the large smart TV.
Partial walls separate the kitchen and dining room from the living area, making it an ideal entertainment space! Cook your favorite Montana recipes in our well-appointed kitchen - complete with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, Western-themed dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.

Outdoor, we feature a covered front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails amongst the glorious Montana views. The mountain sunrises and sunsets will astound you. Use the outdoor grill and BBQ to host your cookout on the spacious lawn adjacent to Paradise Ranch Retreat's Trout House (a separate home that sleeps 6).
The Trout House features two bedrooms- one with a beautifully framed queen-sized bed and one with a charming full (bottom)/twin (top) bunk bed that kids will adore! They will feel like they're in a Yellowstone cabin!
The vaulted ceilings, high windows, and mountain views enhance your comfort in this home. The living room features a welcoming stone gas fireplace, a large smart TV, and comfortable seating. Look for the locally discovered fossils, shells, and petrified wood hidden throughout the stonework of the inviting gas fireplace! A full sleeper sofa is available in the living room; an ideal alternative sleeping arrangement for a second adult party. A fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom with a washer and dryer provide all the comforts of home.

The main cabin where we stayed is very roomy and nicely decorated. It’s a great location if you want to go to Yellowstone Park, Livingston, and Bozeman! It had everything we needed in a house for cooking etc. I highly recommended it!!! Plenty of towels, a really large washing machine and dryer, nice dishes and glasses, large bedrooms, with a large walkin closet in the main room, large refrigerator and more. Everything was great!!!!

The property and surrounding area were quintessentially Montana. Absolutely stunning views, comfortable beds and had everything our 12 person group needed. The host was wonderful to correspond with and responded quickly any time we messaged. I would highly recommend staying here!

Rented cabins for my wedding party to stay at. Very clean and cozy. Everyone kept saying how they felt like home there. Perfect for get togethers. The outside is even amazing and clean! Only live a mile from there but might have to book myself a little staycation there!

The larger house was in great shape and very well maintained. However, in the smaller building the bathroom smells like urine very strongly and there are tons of huge flies everywhere, especially in all the window sills. We struggled with getting the TV to stay on as well. The bedding in the main room smells unclean/ unwashed

My family stayed here to celebrate my sisters graduation from MSU. It was wonderful staying in the “middle of nowhere” after being in the city all day. We loved the home and enjoyed a few days out in the yard with a beautiful scenery around us. It’s a perfect location if you love a good view without being too far from town.

I have a large family, when I found this rental, we were thrilled. We rented both the cabins on the property, and everyone had more than enough space. I was nervous about being so close to the highway, but we were pleasantly surprised to find there wasn’t road noise. Centrally located, we made trips to Chico and Yellowstone hot springs. Such a great trip. Very comfortable cabin.

My husband and I brought our three daughters and their spouses to Montana for a vacation this summer. Your property was perfect for our family of 8 and it is in a great location. We started each day by having coffee on the porch in the morning. We spent a day at Yellowstone National Park, spent a rainy afternoon at Chico Hot Springs, went horseback riding at the Stermitz Ranch and rented a rafts from Rubber Ducky River Rentals to float down the Yellowstone River. Thank you for the excellent recommendations in your book.

This was a perfect place for eight adults to reunite for a much needed vacation. The cabins were comfortable, well stocked, and clean. The location in Paradise Valley provided glorious sunsets, rainbows, and starry nights. We explored the heights and depths of Yellowstone, the Beartooth Highway, and Galatin Canyon on some days, while hiking and fly fishing locally to our hearts' content. The days were warm and the evenings cool. We are grateful for the privilege of staying in such a welcoming and beautiful place.

We had the best time at this location. Both houses were very clean and provided everything listed. The furnishings were very adequate and our family had such an enjoyable time there. The location is very convenient to everything we wanted to do. The Wi-Fi at the Trout House was sketchy, but fine at the other house. It is a beautiful piece of property!
