This cottage is a piece of history. Forget staying in modern, bland surroundings, it is a wonderful experience to stay here. Our friendly hosts shared stories of the cottage, the days of early Encounter Bay and the lives of the people who lived here. The cottage has been lovingly restored, and you will find absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. We received a lovely welcome card, chocolates and wine on arrival. There is so much to do around the area and a restaurant and general store 5 doors down the road. The gardens of Yelki by the Sea are beautiful and the location is perfect, right opposite the beach with views of the Bluff. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The charm and historical nature of "Yelki" it is beautifully presented with every comfort provided. It is also quite a privilege to be able to stay there. The location is perfect, just across the street, the view of the water is very relaxing.The owners are extremely thoughtful and helpful and made our stay a truly unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend a stay and will hopefully stay there again in the near future.

Yelki is a haven by the sea! The accommodation is over 100 years old and is comfortable, homely and has all facilities to make a stay perfect for everyone. Parking on site, surrounded by serene gardens and a view to the Bluff and the sea. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent beach front location, quiet, surrounded by beautiful gardens frequented by many birds. Abundant provisions with excellent local breakfast treats. Clean and very comfortable and attractive cottage.

Everything was very nice. Fabulous historical building full of charm and character. Hosts Sue and John are very welcoming and helpful. Lots of lovely little touches throughout. A great accommodation experience. Highly recommend.

Our hosts Sue and John were brilliant - very welcoming and friendly. Sue gave us a tour of the property and explained it’s history. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. Great views and lovely surroundings.

Absolutely gorgeous & cosy cottage on the beachfront! We especially loved the fireplace (the host prepared it for us on arrival too, all we had to do was light it!). The bed was very comfy & all linens and towels were beautiful quality.
We also loved learning the history of the house from chats with our hosts and the information booklet provided. Would love to stay again! Highly recommend!!

I loved how welcomed I was as soon as I arrived. It felt very much like arriving at home.
Sue and John are absolute gems and made my stay so special.
The property itself was so idyllic, the location was perfect and I loved the history. It felt very sacred being there.
The garden is honestly magical and you can tell how much love has been poured into it.
I loved snuggling up with a glass of red 'on the house' in front of the fire.
It felt like I was in the movie The Holiday and I was waiting for Jude Law to knock at the door.
I honestly don't have any feedback. I'm a girl used to camping. In saying that I could tell how beautiful and high quality all the features were of the cottage.

Yelki by the Sea is very charming property in a stunning setting. Views of the sea from the verandah and windows. Welcoming open fire and a well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly want.
Our host were warm and welcoming, the property was attached to the main house but this was not an issue and we were quite private.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Yelki by the Sea to anyone interested in staying at a charming historical property with all modern facilities.

The entire cottage was comfortable and warm with heaters in every room. We loved the open fire and spent one night thoroughly enjoying it with a glass of the complimentary red wine in hand. There are some chocolates and shortbread to be enjoyed as well.
The bed was supremely comfortable with an electric blanket and a warm quilt. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The garden is a great place. There is a really charming area in the cottage where we sat to have a cup of tea, where the sun comes through.
Altogether, a delightful place to stay, steeped in history.\
The shower would be improved with a smaller water rose attached to the wall. At the moment there is a large waterfall head placed in the middle of a reasonably small area which inhibits the amount of space available. But this is a quibble.
I stubbed my toe quite badly in the middle of the night when I got up because the floor levels are not equal between the living room and the bedroom. But again, this is a quibble because a torch was supplied, so really it was my own fault.

The location was amazing along with the views. The cottage was beautifully restored and the hosts were exceptional. We loved learning about the history of the home.
