Private river setting. Well equipped with a great shower.

Beautiful little chalet right on the edge of a stream. It was very relaxing falling asleep to the sound of the stream. The queen bed was comfortable and had quality linen on it. The bathroom was a really nice, with a classy glass shower that made you feel you were showering in nature, as you had a view of the stream. The shower also had excellent pressure and a NZ made bathroom amenities. The kitchenette had every you required to make a meal, which was amazing.

Unfortunately the bathroom heater did not work which made for a cooler start to the day. As the bathroom is accessed via the deck there was no heat from the bedroom to drift through to the bathroom.

This was hands down the best accommodation we have stayed in for a long time. The location is beautiful and waking up to the sound of birds and the stream is super relaxing. Highly recommended.

room smelt of stale food on arrival and throughout stay and needs a range hood installed. staying three nights and no heated towel rail in winter So towels didn’t dry. Didn’t like glass walled toilet and bathroom. Pretty but Uncomfortable at night as very exposed.

A magical setting next to a running stream in a Bush like setting. The cabin had been handcrafted with great care making it a delightful and comfortable place to stay. Well equipped and with a folder of information and suggested places to visit. It is in a beautiful area.

- clean - studio had everything you needed for a short or even long stay! - the bathroom is beautiful and whilst others have complained about it not being directly connected to the bedroom, it's literally two foot steps away and you are still in your own covered private area - few minutes drive to takaka shops and restaurants whilst still feeling close to nature

Tranquil and private spot by the river. The outdoor bathroom including a shower with glass wall overlooking the bush and river was cool. Had everything i needed for a very comfortable stay.

The room was a little hot (but we did have very hot weather) - an aircon in the heat would do wonders to really lift the room.

It was away from the main road of Takaka, but a very short drive away.

The setting with Kereru all around, water running through the creek, enveloped in greenery. Just lovely after a day walking in the heat. Especially appreciated was the lip balm and chocolate !

Very clean and tidy and the stream was cool.

That the bathroom wasn't attached to the room. Having to go outside during the night if you needed the toilet. Tidy garden would make a huge difference in appearance also.

Really love the quietness, the setting, the birds, the creek, the bush. The room was comfy, bed was comfy and had just about everything you needed. It was unexpected that we had to go outside (all under cover though as it was accessible via the verandah) to the bathroom, but it's a very nice bathroom and the shower was extremely unique and amazing!! Great facilities were provided which I'd imagine would be much more useful in the warmer months (cute little outdoor setting, love-seat on the verandah and a handy bbq). Lots of unique features and we'd definitely stay again.
