The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable with all the mod cons needed and with enough space for 4 people. Loved the fact local restaurants literally on the doorstep. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

3 ème séjour à Vejer, mais cette fois-ci dans ce nouvel appartement. La ville semble toujours plus se sophistiquer avec le temps ( boutiques ) mais l'atmosphère reste charmante, conviviale matinée d'un peu de chic très à propos. L'appartement l'est également, sobre et chic, tout en restant authentique: Très jolie décoration, sentiment d'espace et de liberté. On se sent vite chez soi, et tout simplement très bien. Je n'ai que des points positifs pour cet bel appartement. :) Bon séjour à vous.

We loved this apartment, it's spacious and well equipped with nice decoration. Vejer is charming with amazing views of Africa and plenty of nice restaurants, we stayed for a month in winter when some places were closed but there were enough places open to enjoy our stay. Good base to visit beaches; Tarifa, Bolonia, Conil, Zahara de los atunes, cities including Jerez and Cadiz and Natural parks

As s family of 5 we had a wonderful stay in Ivan's flat which is perfectly located in the pretty old town. Access to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach (El Palmar) is all very easy. A couple more fans would have helped but otherwise no complaints at all.

We stayed for 5 nights in this delightful apartment in the heart of old Vejer, which manages to be close to the action yet very peaceful. The flat is spacious, light and cool, with an excellent kitchen, and the views from the windows and roof terrace are lovely. It was great to be able to step out of the front door and straight into the old streets, with plenty of excellent bars around. We always love the Bodeguita, but the revamped market was a treat; open in the evenings for lots of different types of food, it was absolutely buzzing. A great stay and we will definitely be back.

On a passé un excellent séjour à Vejer dans cet appartement situé dans une rue au calme mais très bien situé, les pièces sont très grandes, propres et belles (à part la salle de bain qui mériterait un petit rafraichissement). La ville est magnifique et compte de nombreux restaurant de qualité, on s'est vraiment régalés d'excellent tapas. On reviendra...

Lovely old apartment in the heart of the old town only a few minutes walk to bars (less than 1 minute to the nearest), restaurants & little shops, 10 to the nearest supermarket. Great views from the shared roof terrace too. Our stay has been over 3 months & it has really felt like home & although winter time we have had little need for the gas fire. The kitchen is modern and spacious with all mod-cons. Ivan kindly allowed us to keep our bikes here which has been brilliant for exploring the wonderful countryside and coast. No need for a car as also there are frequent buses to Cadiz, Sevilla & south to Tarifa & Algeciras. Also, as its in the old town there is no parking nearby, its just possible to drive outside to unload. Margerita the cleaner is really friendly & helpful. Our favourite bar is El Central, 2 minutes walk, family run with lovely friendly staff and superb tapas. The old town is quiet in winter and in January & February some of the bars are closed but we managed to find good (& cheap) ones 10-15 minutes walk in the 'new town'. Thoroughly recommend the apartment - when we return to Vejer I would happily rent it again.

I have been using 'owners direct' for quite a number of years now and have found its quite usual for owners to put the best light they can on their properties. For instance one place in Berlin neglected to mention that the apartment was next door to a cemetery, in another, again in Berlin, they failed to mention there was no bedrooms and the single bed was actually the sofa, another place, in Vejer this time (which looked great in the pictures) had a distinct waft of sewer in several rooms, but every place i had rented i have enjoyed myself tremendously, despite the slight niggles. In Ivan's case, his apartment, which i stayed in for a month, was the first time that the actuality has outstripped the description. Its big and spacious. The kitchen area with dining table is suitable for any modern home and the abundance of French windows in every room brings in Vejer's beautiful light. God Knows how ancient the building is but the apartment has been very tastefully modernised, keeping all the old floors, doors and high ceilings. The position is second to none, central, but yet quite as the grave (excuse the pun) at night. I would happily live in Ivan's apartment and thats the first time i have felt that way about any of the properties I have rented. I will be back

This spacious flat is situated in the heart of vejer de la frontera, the prettiest, most serene town – ideal for couples. We were lucky enough to have the apartment for a week in late June and the weather was amazing!!! The apartment has two lovely double bedrooms and a double sofa bed – all very clean with fresh sheets and towels. It was well equipped with a very modern kitchen with everything you’ll need including a washing machine. There were balcony’s and a communal roof top terrace perfect to watch the sun set. There are beautiful beaches only a taxi ride/car journey away but well worth it. We also were able to use the pool in a near by hotel for 5euros. Vejer has a selection of amazing restaurants to choose from and are all-available on foot, offering the most breath-taking views. We ate in a few nights as the kitchen offers a huge dining room table and all the apparatus to do so. I will defiantly be returning to both Vejer and this apartment, bringing friends and family. I would defiantly recommend to everyone and anyone who wants to stay in an amazing apartment in an amazing town.

I have had the pleasure of staying 3 times in this characterful apartment, and have loved it every time. The building has a wonderful Moorish feel with tiled floors, period doors leading into spacious rooms, and great lighting. Ivan's information regarding the accommodation, location and arrival has been very helpful. The old town is beautiful and the steep drive up is like stepping back into time. Our favourite place to eat is in the Plaza de Espana at the Hotel La Cas del Califa. If it isn't too hot the garden is a perfect setting. The beaches near by are beautiful and unspoilt, however we have found them to be rather windy so be mindful when putting up your umbrella! The town of Cadiz is well worth a day trip as is Jerez where there are very interesting trips of sherry making. I can't wait to plan my next visit.
