The location.
The breakfast at the restaurant. It was not mentioned in the menu that cinnamon and icing sugar will be on the toast.we did not eat it. The table next to us people were complaining about the same.

bed mattress is definitely out of shape and cushion.
shower faucet is getting uneasy to use.
rest are acceptable.

Staff were excellent, very friendly
They neglected to tell us the hottub wasn't working, we were woken up several times throughout the night with kids running up and down the hallway, slamming doors and yelling at their parents so we only got maybe 4.5 hrs of sleep.

The close beach, the available parking and the restaurant inside.
Cheese on my club burger when it wasn’t stated on menu ingredients. Difficult to get down to beach.

Comfortable rooms with microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. Lovely dining room with ocean view. Quiet place.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. We stay here a lot and it is consistently good. Tried out the new restaurant and was not disappointed, great service and nice food.
If I had to find something, the elevator bell is quite loud and can be clearly heard in the bedrooms. I would have mentioned it on checking out but the desk clerk did not ask how my stay was.

Beautiful view of the strait. Loved the breeze coming off the water. Great food and service in the restaurant. Staff was great and very helpful.
Our room was on the first floor at the north end of the hotel and the banging of the fire door on the parking level from people going in and out for a cigarette was a bit annoying. The smell of cigarette smoke and pot smoke was also a bit nauseating, which meant we had to close our balcony door alot.

The staff was top notch. Coming from the states I had an issue with my card. This had the potential to be disastrous but the staff was so chill and let us use cash instead. The room was cute and clean. The views were amazing and we sat on the deck and had a beer with more views. Their breakfast is reasonably priced and all around great experience.
I got lost a few times because the place is a maze but that's not really a true negative lol :)

View from room and quite.
Hotel is more run down from the last time we stayed the previous year. It defiantly needs some TLC, if the owner chooses not to keep up with it's maintenance, it will be a shame.

Staff are excellent.
The elevator emitted a very loud chime whenever the door opened. Very very annoying when trying to work/sleep

Great location/view. The restaurant upgrade is very nice. Room amenities are good. Fridge has a little top freezer which many places don't have.
Wish you could order breakfast like before and not only have the buffet....it was the usual, but no bacon (ham instead), scrambled eggs, toast, coffee, pancakes, sausages, juice...but not great.

Nice room with sea view. Patio area. Good location for the trip we had planned.
The hotel is under renovation so there were no restaurant facilities, breakfast availability and the hot tub was closed.
We were informed of this ahead of time and for one night it was not a problem. We liked the hotel and will give it another go once the renovations are complete.

Good location the on the hill overlooking Quadra Is. and the water. Easy walk to the pier and shops.

Nice view. Room was clean and comfortable.
There were 7 floors and no working elevator. The restaurant was supposed to be open after a reno, but was not, and the hot tub was not working. There was a small patio area down by the water, but only one chair was provided.

The AC had some issues which we couldn't figure out. It kept turning off automatically

the front desk clerk at check in didn’t even look at me. there was vacuuming in the hall at around 11pm

Love the view, no breakfast as the restaurant was closed, the room was cleaned but the toilet was so small had a hard time getting up.
Elevator was not working so did not use the pool or hot tub. The back door was locked and could not get into the building. Had to wait for someone to come and open the door for us twice,

Easy access from the highway. Staff was able to make a new booking for us and to accommodate our two small dogs.
Hotel did not have your reservation on file, so a pet room was not available.
Breakfast is not included in the cost.

The linen was clean and the room had a great ocean view. Coffee was also provided and there was a small fridge to store cold goods.
The bathroom was mostly clean, but the previous quests put cigarette butts in the shower drain. The cleaning staff did not pick up on that, and it clogged the bath tub.
