location was nice

we drove three hours for one night away for my hubby’s bday - as a guest who paid $355 for one night (that’s all we could get) I could of stayed home and did all the cleaning and stripping of bed etc - I didn’t have to spend $$ on groceries and fuel for that we could of just stayed home. we were highly recommended this space and I was highly disappointed. we will not stay here in the future.

Liked the cabin and surrounding resort. Good location close to beaches. We liked the nespresso machine and firepit

Little to no hot water, the main bed was very creaky (our baby woke up in her crib as we were getting in to bed. We assumed there would be restaurants open after 7pm but all were closed and we had no food with us. Had to wait until morning to eat. Would have been nice to have had some warning. There was only one match left for the firepit. It took us a while to find the cabin in the complex in the dark.

light switch’s were a bit of a pain to find out how to work correctly , Wish it had been water view , bed was a bit uncomfortable

Location is wonderful. The Cabin was clean and well stocked. The directions were clear. We have stayed at Handsome Dan's before in the summer and had a wonderful experience.

During our first night at the cottage, the power was off for 8 hours in quite cold temperatures. The cabin was cold and even when the power came back on, it did not become warm. Wet snow fell overnight (which is what caused the power failure) and there was no shovel/rock salt to clear snow on the decks. Communication with the owners was difficult with no wifi or cell phone or working landline. This lack of support during an unusual weather event, the knowledge that the power had also been off for three hours the day before, a forecast for more of the same and falling temperatures and possibly deteriorating road conditions, lead us to decide to leave early. We contacted the owners/managers later and they seemed receptive to many of our suggestions.

Super cozy cabin. Everything we needed and was a perfect location. Staff was very helpful when problems arose they replied quickly and solved them immediately

They had forgot to clean the cabin when we arrived, but when I let them know they had someone there within half an hour to clean it. They also took $75 off my bill for the Hastle so that was very nice and unexpected. We had expected a hot tub as there was pictures of one in the write up for this specific cabin. A bit disappointing to find out the hot tub wasn’t for this cabin but other than that everything was great.

We loved the relaxing energy of the cottage. We spent most of our trip exploring the island & it was amazing to have this place to come back to!

Nice place to stay. The process of obtaining the pass code and finding the actual unit was a bit tricky ... in fact, we relied on a few locals to help us find the place and get into our accommodation.

The process of getting the pass code to the place AND the actual directions to the place. No only that, these houses are private and Handsome Dans is their "renter of choice" It would have been better to skip Handsome Dans and go directly with the home owner.

The photos made it look like this property was waterfront or at least a view of the ocean but it was not. You could not see the ocean from the property.

Location was great. The cabin was absolutely spotless!

I thought our cabin had a ocean view from the pictures. The privacy and beauty of the yard almost made up from the lack of ocean view.

Found the furniture uncomfortable. Too small.

Private with some backyard yet not entirely secluded. The cottage had everything we could have needed and the location was absolutely beautiful.

Way too many communications on your end. The emails pre-getaway are informative but very long (3 or 4). Then we receive a text message (Akia here to help), then we have to email once we have checked in, then we get a text asking about the first night (how was that first bite sort of thing), then we receive a text about checking out and finally had to email to check out. That is a lot of emails/texts for 3 nights.

couldn't get to door with folding bed down. tub was plugged up but we fixed it with coat hanger. no drain plug for tub.
