Very close to the lake a hot tub, private patio and delicious breakfast.

super welcoming host, really quaint atmosphere, comfortable bed, lovely hot tub. Felt super laid back. Breakfast was great and even catered to my annoying gluten intolerance. Salt spring island rules.

tranquil and lush

The breakfasts were beyond our expectations! We asked for just cereal, yogurt and juice, but everyday was a surprise.. There was always fruit, fresh baked scones or muffins, or eggs, and a variety of toast, or English muffins. They always arrived on time and the presentation was great!

There was not a thing that we did not like

Exactly what we asked for for our breakfast plus personal touches. Loved having the little kitchenette and able to make our own coffee. Owners were electricians and every switch and outlet were exactly as needed plus extras for convenience.

We stayed 2 nights in the Loft Suite and loved it! The breakfast was catered to our dietary needs and way better than we could have found at a restaurant! The suite was clean, private and cozy. We loved the outdoor area too! It's close to Gagnes and lots of other great spots in the island.

Wonderful quiet location. 5 to 10 mins drive into Ganges. terrific private hot tub. Amazing breakfast. Kind and attentive host. Comfortable bed!

Hot breakfasts were appreciated…everything was homemade and yummy!

Where should I start? The room was big and comfy; we had an amazing patio surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers, and big trees, with a private hot tub. The house is very close to St. Mary Lake so we went for an evening swim to then soak in the hot tub enjoying the starry sky and the dim light of the fairy lights that surrounded the patio. And then the next morning... The breakfast!!! Freshly made cranberry and white chocolate scones one day, breakfast sandwich with home made smoked bacon the next day, and crumble cake filled with fresh berries and cream on the third day. And if that were not enough, the hosts were just lovely!

A wonderful getaway to come to. The heated floors and electric fireplace made it such a comfortable stay. It was ideal for a takeaway dinner and a bottle of wine. The room was well thought of and included pull out tables for breakfast in bed and your own dimmer for night time reading.

The one thing to note was the Wi-fi was spotty but then again the whole island was a bit of a hit and miss.

Location, privacy and amenities

Sue was an incredible host. The carriage house was a gorgeous oasis in the lush salt spring rainforest. Not to mention waking up to her fresh fruit and scone breakfasts was an amazing start to our perfect weekend. But best of all, seeing the stars at night while relaxing in the private hot tub made the entire weekend memorable. It's no wonder 5 of those stars go to Sue's review!
