I liked the balcony very secluded the bed was comfortable and spacious.

I didn’t like not having a tub and the shower was not very clean and it had hair all over the tub and drain

I didn't stay they couldn't use my netspent card, they wouldn't let us stay it wasn't on me,it looked like a great place we would have enjoyed.

The facilities are out-of-date, like electricity outlets and television. There were no necessary amenities like toothbrush set, or bottled water.

Excellent room, beautiful view from balcony to Manhattan. Subway is close, easy and quick to get into downtown of Manhattan. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Super fast internet.

The area around the hotel ( streets ) are dirty and looks not so nice .

The valet person was rude, there was a lot of mold in the shower in room 508. I called about it and they told me it was the grout. I had to go down and show the front desk a picture for them to see how bad the mold was and they moved me to a less dirty room. There was dust on everything, the bed was worn down and sunk in the middle, the tub had hair in it. The entire property was worn down & I think they keep everything dark to hide the dirt and how everything is worn down.

The layout and design.

The false advertising. I booked there because on the photos it showed a pool and a bar, but actually they were never open during our 3 day stay. When we inquired. Jonathan told us that ‘The Summer Club’ had nothing to do with the Ravel, although if the weather had been better then we would have been welcome to go there. He also continued to mention that he didn’t have any control of the weather! Well ain’t that something! He was pretty rude. The windows in our room were also filthy and we could hardly see out of them.

The staff was great! The room spacious, the bathroom interesting (sliding glass doors, very open). Small balcony (aim for higher floors if possible, better view!) No breakfast was served (despite several emails checking this, got no response). Breakfast options close by, ok with nice weather, but not in winter... Also no restaurant, and nothing very close. The roof top was not open unfortunately (April). The beds very comfortable, the internet good! Coffeemaker in room. Cleaning could have been improved. Small fridge was not plugged in, and not cleaned behind.. also did only work on freeze level, or not at all... Location was quiet, some traffic, and utility center across with some trucks, but not bad overall. Would not recommend first level rooms, no balcony and right on street. Pricing a bit high for the level, but overall experience good. Free coffee served in lobby, and nice lobby area! Good and secure parking just outside (for limited number of cars) USD 25,-/night.

Cleaning... information on breakfast beforehand for planning. Elevators had some servicing during stay, but got help with luggage - thank you!

Super cool view of the city, 10 minutes from major hospitals in Manhattan, nice brewpubs in walking distance of hotel, on site parking, beautiful bathroom, big balcony and comfortable bed.

Not a thing

The only 2 good things there —-was the night manager, a young, good looking, nicely dressed Latina guy, who seemed to understand how ‘hospitality’ works. Couldn’t help but feel that with his customer service knowledge, he should be at a far better hotel. And the espresso in their coffee machine in the lobby was good.

Didn’t have any parking. Paying Hotel guests had to park on the street, few blocks away. The doors inside the room were filthy, dirt all over the white paint. TV had come off from the wall and sorta, hanging slanted. There was only one TV Station. Either it was the TV, or The remote wasn’t working. The room I got (don’t know about the rest) had a real ‘dirty’ feel to it. Like, if you took a black light, it would light up like a Christmas Tree :/ ….it didn’t feel properly cleaned….. You feel overcharged for what you ‘get’ $260 a night when it was more like an $80-100 room.

Pros: cleanliness in the room and comfortable beds.

147 / 5 000 Cons: cold water in the bathroom, dark room, dirty windows, no carpet - only tile in the room. The first floor in this hotel is de facto the ground floor.
